I enjoyed tonight, great effort by both teams, got to say the "gas" are not brilliant and their normal habits were there but they won't struggle in the 4th, also they play a lot better than I thought, they were very capable but that could have been because of the occasion and surroundings. I can see what SOD is doing with us, he deserves time and support, he's got mine, our players continue to improve and I am over the moon.. Up the City..
For sure we are improving, we kept the ball very well for long periods, my only major concern was there were no real ball winning battelers in the midfield when the Gas had their good spell, Pack was the only one putting his foot in, still a big area for improvement. Reid and Bryan played well I thought for 2 young lads, and hope they will really prosper this season.
Great goals and a win is always good especially against the gas, but: - we only beat them by 1 goal on our own patch - they are a league below - they scored from a set piece - Peterborough will be MUCH tougher so we will need to becMUCH better.
But we will have our Internationals back for that game and Marvin will make a difference to the midfield
