Hans, you do realize that Aspas created the most chances behind Ronaldo and Messi? In a team fighting relegation! Surely this does prove that he is better than Messi? Also, Ozil is a cracking player, but people seem to be ignoring Jordan Henderson. Can you honestly say Ozil is half as good as young Henderson? That's not even taking Joe Allen in to consideration.
lol, Ozil is world class & would settle in any league on the planet Bale has been the EPL player of the year in 2 out if the last 3 seasons & has only just turned 24, so what exactly is his 'norm' ??? You're barking mad if you think either of those players wouldn't improve any side in Europe
Also I'd like to Mention that Moses scored as many goals as Ozil last season despite not being a regular starter for Chelsea!!!
Ozil isn't a goalscorer, he is a creator. He rarely shoots when given the chance, often opting to provide an easier chance for someone else. Moses attempts to score a lot more.
I rate Mata and Cazorla but neither are at the same level as Ozil IMO PS...this is a little weird! I'm debating with an Arsenal fan that one of their players is better than he thinks
Everyone is judging Ozil based on Real. It's not hard to play for Real, jsut give the ball to Ronaldo. I'm judging Ozil on Germany and Werder Bremen.
I'm judging him on Germany performances in major tournaments. I don't watch much foreign domestic football
Agreed, I don't understand why they bother with all these expensive players. They may as well sign Kevin Nolan to play as an attacking midfielder. It's soooo easy.
This is why I don't think he's real. Santi Carzorla's wife probably doesn't even think he's better than Ozil.
TBF isn't that why Ozil left RM? Chelsea have a lot of options in that position but I think Mata will either be starting or moved on by the end of the season.
Don't think anyone knows why Real sold him (he was pushed rather than jumping him self). IMO, him in the midle of Ronaldo and Bale would have been fantastic, especially with Alonso just behind and Benzema in front too.
Agreed. Madrid will rue this summer, wait and see. May sell more Bale shirts than they would have Ozil, but having Bale and Ronaldo in the same team is going to be like having Donna Summer and Barbara Streisland recording together twice a week for ten months of the year.
They signed Isco and then felt they had to play him? From the BBC: Carlin, who wrote a book about Real Madrid during David Beckham's time at the club and pens a weekly football column for Spanish newspaper El Pais, believes the explanation for Ozil's sale lies less in manager Carlo Ancelotti's tactical plans, and more in Perez's impulsive nature. "Perez is extremely capricious," said Carlin. "An avid art collector, you could give him all the Picasso and Dali paintings in the world, and he would still want to buy up the Miros. "He has this acquisitive lust. And so, when [21-year-old Spain international] Isco came on the market, Real didn't really need him, but he is beautiful and Perez knew that if Real didn't buy him, someone else would. "Once he was bought, there was always going to be pressure on Ancelotti to make sure Isco played, even though Ozil is much more the final product. When you throw Bale and [Croatia midfielder] Luka Modric into the mix you have a problem, and something had to give."
