I was thinking the same thing when I heard he stepped down yesterday. He got so much criticism but since he took over, the club have only had success. I heard that his wife told him to get Eddie Howe back after they sacked that bloke who used to work for Pompey. Also, he obviously cared about the club, something a lot of chairman don't seem to do. Good luck to him.
Can't think of a managerial one but do remember slating Stuart Ripley for not being on the wing when he was supposed to be a winger. I wanted him out on the wing to draw defenders away from the centre or to get a cross in. Very irate! Then suddenly he gets the ball on the edge of the box and puts it straight in the back of the net. I was very quiet for the rest of the match!!
This. One of my favourite games of the last few seasons and the one after which I was convinced that we would beat Huddersfield to second place.
