Here is the latest rubbish / gossip from the Watford Rumours site: 307317231 06 Jun 2011 01:40:31 Watford News: I think its pretty certain now that Danny Graham is going to a prem club, possibly the 3.5 million from Swansea but I believe his favoured option is West Brom. It is rumoured that Malky is looking at signing a big target man to replace him with one of the following being a replacement: Ishmael Miller (Loan) - WBA Jay Emmanuel Thomas (Loan) - Arsenal Darius Henderson - Sheff United Rory Fallon - Plymouth Argyle Also it is expected that Scott Loach will also move to a premiership team. Highly rated Leyton Orient goalie Jamie Jones is being linked as a possible replacement. INS: Kevin Phillips (Player/Coach) A left back -Rhoys Wiggins - Bournemouth A winger - Chris Burke/Craig Conway linked Also an older CB, most likely a loan deal or a free transfer. 307317238 06 Jun 2011 00:40:38 Watford to sign Fraser Foster from newcastle on a season long loan if loach is sold. We may even buy the out-of-favour English goalkeeper using the fee from loachs sale.
Now that I would like to see, but suspect the rumour is rubbish. After a good season with Celtic (21 clean sheets in 36 league appearances), they were supposed to be bidding £2M for him - can't see us getting anywhere near that amount for SL
The BBC have a page saying Watford have given permission for Danny to talk to Swansea. They make the point that Danny and Judas worked together when Judas was at Watford, but how long did that last?
It's been confirmed by my very good source in Brighton that the other player they want from us is Cowie. I want to swear..and then i want to shoot Stephenson somewhere where it hurts!
Google says thet Danny Graham joined Watford on 2 July 2009 and Brendan Rodgers left on 5 June 2009. This indicates the two did not work together and also Danny Graham's contract is for one year more and not 2.5 years from his signing again earlier this year.
BR left in June and Danny did not join till July - so they never worked together - DG was BR's last acquisition even though they did not meet up here.
As things are it is getting worse. http://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/9066836.Buckley_gets_seal_of_approval/ this lot sees Will Buckley joing as a foregone conclusion. So who is next: Scott Loach to Norwich Don Cowie to Brighton Martin Taylor to ..... If they go it'll be Jon Eustace to Derby and although we may have a few pounds in the bank, finally, there will be no team, pitch or east stand. I know we are 40-1 to win the Championship but the odds for relegation must almost have got to evens if this carries on
Hmmm, maybe Baz is selling all these players and then going to place all the money on Watford getting relegated, and then do a runner....
Sometimes I hate being right I must admit if I was a season ticket holder I`d be starting to want my money back! Having serious doubts about continuing being a sponsor! whilst Baz is selling everyone off! If MM goes ...........
Funny Norway, that wouldn't even cross my mind. Hornette..TID...always behind the club, despite the men in suits.
watford target darryl westlake appears to be on his way out of league 1 side walsall. Walsall cm richard taundry who started off as a rb will be converted back to a rb in a summer boot camp and has been told to cement a place there according to midlands news paper express and star. This will open the door for westlake a highly rated rb to leave the club with watford hoping former saddlers troy deeney and rene gilmartin can persuade westlake to join them. Walsall could use the money from westlake to buy james constable who is available from oxford for a fee or romain vincelot from dag and red again for a fee. 307362967 06 Jun 2011 14:22:47 Goal.com sources confirm a £600,000 bid from Watford for promising Blackburn youth defender Frazer McDonald.
It'd be interesting to know how the Stephenson deal happened! Is it like a Manager/player where he is under contract or can he just resign like most of us? If it is more like a fixed-term contract and Brighton had to buy it out, I would have hoped they'd have put something in it that they couldn't sign anyone he had dealings with here... But I guess that is asking a bit too much!!
06 Jun 2011 13:50:24 Been told something interesting today and that is that Tommy Smith could be heading back to Watford. Although Malky isn't Buckley's biggest fan, he wanted to keep him for next season. However Malky has learned that Smith could be available for transfer and wants to bring him back to the club. Allowing Buckley to leave as well as Graham and the potential money from the Ashely Young sale will probably leave around £800,000 for Malky to play with during the summer. Smith is his top target and other targets include Conway, A.Taylor, Phillips and Weimann.
Just seen this most stupid thing on the Rumours website that Watford have offered players plus cash to Rangers for Kyle Lafferty I ask again where do they get this sh1t from?
Thats real good hon , however until I see evidence that Baz is being truthful about the club , The cheque is written ,but in the pending tray! I dont want to give my meagre offerings to people like Baz, If you can offer a guarantee that the money goes 100% to the club ,then fine! Moneymen only listen to the fans when the revenue drops! It is the only card we hold!
Here we go Just found the 7 players we are bringing in ! http://www.watfordfc.com/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~2372308,00.html?
