Presuming he is match fit and ready to go versus Hull, will it be Bellamy or Whittingham or anyone else? Definite lack of pace presently in the team.

Maybe he'll start on the bench instead of Maynard or Conway?

I would be shocked if he starts at Hull. Sure I read somewhere he hasn't played a game for a long time.

Bench for first game to replace either Noone or Maynard. Could even replace Gestede if we want to go with no plan B.

Also, what about Cathy (can't remember and not got time to type his full name)?

We have played the last 2 games with no full back on the bench. We would have to fit a square peg in a round hole if either full back was injured. Does he start instead of Connolly or go to bench with either a forward or midfielder to be sacrificed?

We signed so many players my heads in a spin, nearly forgot about Catarina
Sub for Ode for now, but a player who can get that vital goal it seems, fitness can't possibly be up to our standards, seems he has been training by himself.
MM says he is in great shape though which may or may not suggest something in itself as to MM thinking on him.

Got 2 weeks of training to work out Theophile and Odemwingies fitness/sharpness.

I hope Theophile is good enough to take Connollys place straight off him, don't want another Brayford situation.
I really think that Bellers is the player under threat but I agree that Odemwingie might well have to start his City life off on the bench. It will take exceptional training form to put him straight into action.

I had big doubts about Witts this season but I think he's doing a great job on the left.
He's had an assist and has been superb looking after his full back. If FC had stepped over Kims pass he might well have scored 1st half against Everton too.

I'd like to see Mutch get a chance at some point, I thought Gunnar struggled at times last Saturday and Mutch is a very dynamic midfielder who should fit into the PL very well imo.

He may be fit, but not match fit. He's barely played since the January debacle. I imagine a few cameos before he gets a start. Leave conway out and put him on the bench. He can come on instead of Kim or Whitts. Is he left or right footed? May give bellamy a chance to move to the left if he can play on the right.

I think he will be sharing a spot with Bellers.

To start with maybe, but I really think he will be one of the first names on the team sheet within a month or so.

I think I may have not been clear there. I was saying Odewingie will be one of the first names not Bellers mind!

At home we should be looking to get them both on the pitch, I'd like to see Bellers given a chance on the left but I'm not sure what we then do with Witts. On our current tactics we need work rate from the likes of Medel, Gunnar and Miutch in the middle, don't think Witts is an option in there. Having said that I could see Witts and Medel working if we're planning on having an equal or better share of the ball.

Odemwinghe on the right, Bellers on the left, Noone or Whitts off the bench for whoever flags first, or maybe Whitts on for Kimbo.

    Nice to have options.

I think we'd miss Witts delivery, he's been more threatening than Bellers upto now.

Kimbo is untouchable in this side IMO, he is a true PL class attacker and is unlucky he's only got one superb assist to his name so far.

From what I've seen so far (been to all 3 games) Bellers is the one who is most in danger, but we would miss his influence as a captain, he does a lot of talking. The issue I see with Witts is that his head could well drop if he's benched after a very solid start. He didn't respond well at all to being a sub last season and I think that's more a confidence than an attitude issue.

Don't give up on old Bellars yet lads. I can see him pushing himself harder than ever now that there are more options for Malky to chose from. Craig will be looking for that first goal to settle him down.

Gotta say i agree with most of what you have said Stevo. Whitts is looking a class player again in the Prem and working hard going backwards too he lacks the pace that may threaten more at times though and may need to bench warm now and then to inject pace into the wings. Mutch i agree would do a great job again maybe better suited to life in the prem and despite the fact i love Gunner he did flag and strugle on saturday and i too thought that Mutch could have come on for a bit longer in his place. That said 4 points on the board after 3 tough games its hard to question Malky and his choices.

I think Whitts has been outstanding this year and his class and delivery is shining through, when we come up against teams where we get equal possession we will definately need Whitts in the side, its a bit of a conundrum for MM at the moment, but for me Whitts would be one of the first names on the team sheet.

The downside to having Whitts playing is no place for an out and out winger with pace and trickery, He gives us a lot more though with his dead ball delivery and range of passing. Great to have the options available and decent quality in our squad.

    Onwards and upwards (hopefully) <ok>

If only Whittingham had an extra yard of pace.

Whitts has stepped up for sure, and Medel looks in control as well. We really need Bellamy to find some true form, or maybe Mutch should start?
