I hadn't been watching ATR so I just went and watched a rerun of the first. I've seen better beaches, but none where they called them a racetrack!

Looks like they all turned up overnight, threw some posts and a finishing line up, then went down the pub!

Reebok, I think that collectively the extra weight of our money was too much for Mark Johnston's filly. Plus I was a bit concerned because Johnston was on an across the card double after Discay at Musselburgh and they rarely come up.

Looking at the form of the winner Aquilonius after the race, I note that it made all over two miles in a five runner race at Lingfield six weeks ago in a time eleven seconds slower than the standard. Same tactics today, same brain-dead other jockeys allowing it a soft lead.

Hopefully Royal Guinevere can atone in the Goodwood 5:10.

Love Laytown, was trying to get there on my Stag Do before car crash ruined that plan. Stayed in Skerries and had best seafood ever and the best fry up the morning after. Might have been the relief of being ok but the whiskey and Guinness were also spot on!

Me too, hence going to Santa Anita this year!!!! Proper beach racing!

Exciting times coming up, first the Arc then the Breeders Cup. Must try and find a better paid job to make it easier to get to the big meetings!
