Why dont we go for him if hes a free agent. I used to rate him and he would certainly beef our midfield up:-

Reading's hopes of securing the services of Mohamed Sissoko have been boosted by the news that the midfielder has had his contract terminated by Paris Saint-Germain.

The 28-year-old, who has also played for Valencia, Liverpool and Juventus, is now free to return to England where he is wanted the Championship club.

Sissoko has made just 28 appearances for PSG since joining from Juventus in July 2011, and spent the second half of last season with Italian club Fiorentina.

And the Mali international has also been out of favour with new coach Laurent Blanc who took over at the Parc des Princes in June after Carlo Ancelotti left for Real Madrid.

The French club confirmed on their website: "Paris Saint-Germain and

Mohamed Sissoko have agreed to terminate the player's contract with the capital club.

"He is now out of contract and free to sign with another European club."

Would be perfect. He was a very good player at Liverpool.

My recollections are of a very good player but if he is still the same player, why only championship clubs after him?

If he isn't carrying injuries etc then definitely would be interested.

Its abit of a step down for him Liverpool, Juventus, Valencia, PSG and then Reading. He's only 28, so im very suprised no other clubs are linked??

But you're no mug if you've played for the teams he has. Can't be worse than Vaughan

From what I remember of him at liverpool when we played them he was an absolute general in midfield. Exactly what we need as he's got prem experience... and can pick a pass too.

You would have to imagine that there's a reason no bigger clubs are interested in him. I did used to like him and if he's close to that level now then he'd be great for most premiership teams, there's certainly no shame in not being able to get in PSG's team at the moment.
