Oh My!! please log in to view this image Fulham Football Club is delighted to welcome the cheerleaders for the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL team THE ROAR of the Jaguars, to London for the Fulham v West Bromwich Albion game on 14th September. Damn, my daughter will be coming with me on this game.... How do I explain that is not a dancing show? She is only 5...
o.m.g I was against this years ago, but after the cravenettes,i say bring it on. probably more entertaining than the football
The ROAR of the Jaguars plus season ticket holders can get 2 extra adult tickets for £10 = bargain if the season! I'm half tempted to tweet them and see if they fancy meeting up for a drink after the match!
I've watched the video link and I have to say the one on the right impresses me. Quite outstanding in many ways, well, two ways actually.
I was thinking that the one to the left of the one on the right was very much its equal, but then released you were referring to the cheerleader. Oh, I agree
I'm sure they will get a cheer (and upset I'll have to miss the game and 'entertainment' (which most of the men in the stadium will be viewing sat down)) but I wonder if such an obviously money making/awareness raising activity for something related to us only by virtue of our owner is the best thing to do so near to the close of a transfer window that saw a very small outlay. It's no surprise an owner (particularly a US one) is primarily looking to maximise his profits but it's usually wise to be a bit less obvious about it (Mike Ashley comes to mind). I hope that they don't mean the marathon shot challenge stops - I enjoyed that last half time at the cottage.
Who is going to be the first to whinge about how they didn't track back and were easily knocked off the ball?
Maybe I'm simultaneously too old fashioned and too politically lefty, but I wish we weren't going in for this kind of thing. I seem to be out of step with the prevailing mood on this one (I'm used to that), but I don't see any of this as a plus.
I wonder how cheerleaders came to be? Can American sports fans not have known when was appropriate to cheer? I don't agree with the Capt on this but I can see his point. It's all very well prancing about in a short skirt and pom-pom's in the sun and warmth of California or Florida, but you can see why it would never have caught on on a wet tuesday night in January in Hartlepool, can't you? It's just not British football and I certainly wouldn't get to the ground early just to watch this weeks dance routine.
I'm totally with the Captain on this one, as I believe will be most of the fans at the ground. Remember FxPro trying this in one of the first home games under their reign? It went down like JAR's weight, not! Give me the youngsters having a penalty shoot out at half time any day.
The ROAR has arrived. please log in to view this image Unfortunately the weather forecast for Saturday - 13°C and a strong breeze from the North - is not going to be very kind to the Cheeries. With luck the rain will have stopped by half time, although Fulham being Fulham they'll probably have the sprinklers going.
