SSN reporting it as pretty much done but not official as yet. Also.. Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler "Good player Marouane Fellaini... But just not a Manchester United player"
No official news so far on: Shane Long, Victor Anichebe, Marouane Fellaini, Fabio Coentrao, James McCarthy, Gareth Barry, Andy Johnson...
@neiljonesecho: I'm told #LFC signed on a young centre back, Rafa Paez (19), who has been on trial at the club this summer. Will go into U21s. Lol how many CB's do we have now??
Contradictory reports within Spain on the Fabio Coentrao situation. Some media claiming the United loan bid came through, others saying it was too late. Similarly with Madrid's attempts to sign Siqueira from Granada, who would be Coentrao's replacement. "There's a suspicion that Madrid have learned their attempts to get Siqueira didn't make it, in which case they would not want Coentrao to leave and therefore will attempt to argue the United bid was too late. "Complications complications...if you must leave it until the last three minutes when you've had three months, this is what can happen."
Real Madrid apparently claiming that the offer for COENTRAO came too late. Plus still no official news on Fellaini according to the Beeb
Is this the start of the rot setting in for Utd? Not writing their squad off as it's still the same one that won the league but the omens aren't great.
I wouldn't judge too soon. Flick the switch back 12 months and We'd just signed Borini & Allen (2 players BR had worked with). Now, 12 months on, Moyes tried to sign Fellaini & Baines, 2 players he previously worked with.
I know this will attract the Mancs with their attempted put downs but you could well be right. Tonights fiasco for United had little to do with Moyes and a lot to do with David Gill no longer being there. When the tide of events starts to move against you it starts slowly but there is ultimately no stopping it. Of course I delight in their embarrassment but that does not change my opnion of what will happen
