Okay, maybe a little premature seeing as we've only signed one player, but how do you see us lining up next season? Or rather, how do you hope we'd line up?

I'd assume our ideal first team under Harry would be:

    -----------Friedel-------------

    Corluka- King-Dawson-Benny

    -Lennon-Parker-Modric-Bale-

    ---Crouch- Diamaio/VDV---

    While I would prefer...

    -----------Friedel-------------

    Walker-King-Dawson-Benny
    -----------Sandro-----------
    ----Lennon-Modric-Bale----
    ------------VDV-------------
    ----------Diamaio----------

This is assuming that Diamaio can actually cut it! I know I may be assuming a lot here but I'm really holding out that we can get this fella and he's a class act, a good stiker is what we really need! Any ideas from anyone else?

Definitely no Crouch, he had so many chances last season, and was out scored by Bale, Van Der Vaart, and Pavlyuchenko (not in that order)

I see you have made a typo, you seem to have put Crouch near our starting 11, Crouch is not a footballer <ok>

If Crouch is still on our books come next season it will be a disgrace, and no way should Parker sign for us, not to mention dropping Sandro for him <grr>

I completely agree. But you know Harry would think otherwise, seems to think Crouchy can do no wrong.

    Horses for courses but possibly:

For games against bottom half teams at home

    ---------------Friedel------------
    Walker--Kaboul--Dawson--BAE
    VDV---Hudd--Modric---Bale
    ----Pav/NewST-----Damiao?--

Subs: Gomes/Cudicini, Corluka, Rose, Lennon, Sandro, Gallas, Defoe/Pav/New ST.

For tougher home games and away games, throw in Sandro for Hudd, Charlie for Walker, Lennon on the right and VDV for a striker etc.

Not going to put King or Woody in because I doubt we can count on them ever being fit.

Yeah, obviously if there was no King I'd put Gallas on there, and then if there's any chance that Gallas AND King aren't fit. (God, that would be a shocker wouldn't it!?) I would throw on Kaboul.

I'd also like to see Caulker and Townsend in and around that squad. I've left out Keane, Crouch, Bentley, O'Hara, Kranjcar (Who I like but Harry doesn't), Pienaar, Bassong, Khumalo, Hutton, Jenas, Palacios etc. Shows just how much deadwood we have.

I think with that Spurs squad we have a great few reserves who could step up for cup runs. Andros, Rose, Caulker. I'd like to see this Khumalo boy too if he ever got a run out.

I suppose there's boys like Kane or Bostock but there's been no mention yet of them getting a whiff of the first team has there?

I was going to post a suggestion, before realising how difficult it was. After all, we have to...
Pick two centre backs out of King, Gallas and Dawson - Kaboul (and Bassong?) needing games too
Pick two in central midfield from Modric, Huddlestone and Sandro
Find the best position for Van Der Vaart - up front, in the hole, central midfield, or on the wing
A headache up front - Defoe, Pav, VDV, Crouch, NEW STRIKER
Do Kranjcar, O'Hara, or Dos Santos have a place to fight for?

And I'm fresh out of Neurofen!

Why would you choose Crouch over Super Pav?

Pav isn't perfect but he is better than Crouch.

Pav over Crouch any day. By no means is Pav perfect, but at least he's got a shot on him!

Has no-one read my other posts after? I know in the original I said 'the ideal team under Harry' which probably wasn't the best words to use, but what I mean is that is the team I see Harry going for.

I even mentioned in replies after that, the first list is not my choice. It's what I assume Harry would go for knowing him.
