It's that day again. I am dressed in my lucky underpants and Guinness shirt. I have already eaten my breakfast (Lucky Charms, of course) and have prepared the TV by turning the volume right down in readiness for Mr Shouty to come on SSN later. I don't hold out hope for much news coming out of SSN as they will be spending most of their time talking about Gareth Bale and doing live broadcasts from the Bernabeu before, during and after Bale's appearance on the balcony where he will bless the Real Madrid faithful in 57 languages. My prediction is that there will be 4 going out permenantly (including Derry and Ephraim). Barton WILL be one of them. 2 players will be bought in and a further 1 on loan. Defoe will finally join. Baird will be confirmed and Tom Carroll will be the loan signing. There will be 2 more in on loan deals before the loan window closes.
Barton will stay in my opinion. I think there is more chance of him going in January, although I hope he stays for the entire season. We're in a great position to sign players today because of our league position. Always more attractive to sign for a team which is on form and winning. We already know a Centre Half will be signed (Agree that it will probably be Chris Baird) HR will go for a Centre Forward, intrigued who that will be Also agree a loan signing will be made. Fantastic if it's Carroll.
I could tolerate Barton going if Defoe comes in. If Barton goes and there is no Defoe, I suggest we ceremonially burn your 'lucky pants'. At work sadly but on line.
My prediction: Players out: Shaun Derry, Jermaine Jenas (loan), Hogan Ephraim. Players in: Tom Carroll (loan), Chris Baird, Aaron Martin, Billy Sharp
i am hoping Harry gets some lad in from a premier league teams youth system, that non of us have really heard of like Townsend last season. who then goes on to score a hat-trick in his first game.
My prediction is that Harold will spend the day having circles ran round him by Daniel Levy, all the incomings will be sorted in the last 10 minutes, AJ may go to Palace - his last shot at Premiership, Barton and Hoilett will only go to mid tables teams - don't need the aggro of a relegation scrap and won't be paid what we do anyway. We will be stuck with Cesar, Traore, Diakite and bloody Luke Young, loans out at best.
I'm totally ready for a mind blowing experience so much so I'm wearing a hooped crash helmet I would like to see Assou Ekotto join probably loan others are probably Carroll loan, Chris Baird, my outsider Nahki Wells. Can see Barton and Hoilet going especially if we get 7 mil. I really don't want Crouch or Adebayor
