And so we convene for the annual Saddest B****** In World football awards celebration, hosted by Rivaldo and the corner flag which presumably called him something offensive whilst the ball was blasted off his shins by Hakan Unsal... While John Terry watches on in the wings, in a tux, ready to photobomb the glory of potential winners of our illustrious ceremony...

The awards panel - Not606ers of the world - deliberate on the most bile worthy instances of footballing patheticness past and present and cast their votes... Bendtner cries because he's just realised he's not here to collect the Ballon D'Or...

The rules:

1. One nomination per post
2. Every nominee is a winner (unless copiously challenged, in which case the nominator is given the trophy instead and the title of "Thread Spoiler and Dirty Heretic", until such time another Thread Spoiler and Dirty Heretic arrives), so different nominees please!
3. It would be useful to re-cap us on the truly sad b******ry exhibited by the nominee with your post.
4. This is a world footballing thing, and can include anybody who plays, manages, coaches, acts as a pundit, posts online about it, talks s*** about it purely to promote political issues (*cough* Clare Balding *cough*), referees, groundsmen, stewards, hot dog salesmen etc etc
