We fielded a team today that was embarrassingly weak, at one point for their third goal Vaughan tried to foul thief player who was facing away from him and Vaughan came off worse!!!!!

Ffs Ji, Johnson, giacc, Larrson, Vaughan as softer set of pussies I do not know. Palace bullied them all day. Harsh on Johnson perhaps who I thought showed fight and some class..

I've just been having the exact same conversation Marra. Yesterday's game highlited the fact that our midfield is full of 'luxury' players .. We need a strong grafter who takes games like these by the scruff of the neck.
Is it possible to have a Ball / Rae or Catts BUT without the Red Cards / Suspenions !?!?
    2 days.... Tick tick !

Id have Cabral and Catts protecting the back 4 in a 4-2-3-1 especially away from home.

As soon as I saw Altidore and Cabral weren't playing I knew we were gonna lose.

I'm not, normally, pessimistic this early but I can only see trouble ahead.
I've been a critic of Seas in the past, however if we get rid and don't have a suitable replacement, were knackered. The same goes for Cattermole.
    Im not sure Ellis's
new policy of cheap transfers and low wages is the right one in the current climate: when you've got the likes of Swansea, Cardiff etc. splashing the cash.
Having said all that were too far down the cheap and cheerful road(deadline tomorrow) to change course. I'm not looking forward to the next few matches.

I don't think it matters what we do. We splash the cash, and don't get anywhere. We go cheap and cheerful and get exactly that, cheap.

Others spend loads, and they get somewhere, others scout well and spend little and get somewhere. When we do both do we improve. Do we ****e.

Having said all that, it is still early days...

That Di Canio guy looks reasonably fit, maybe he should play himself.

Cabral and Catts will be enough to stop up, without them we will struggle with Vaughan, Larsson and Gardner. The CM area is without a doubt out biggest weakness and we are one striker short of a top half club.

Ki is coming in, not sure what to expect TBH but the Swansea fans rate him higher than what they are being left with.
