I had some idiot behind me shouting diiiiiiiiiiiiiiie cuuuuuunt, *****ooooo & other general tripe the whole match :( then he tried to rip up the wooden seats. Pretty much spoiled the atmosphere for everyone around him.
Must admit that the palace fans created a cracking atmosphere like, never stopped singing.
I've managed to get to last two away games & haven't been impressed. Long season ahead me thinks! Thought Connor done well but we are very sloppy in possession & lack composure & craft in the final third. We desperately need a decent midfielder or two.

Creating a great atmosphere has nowt to do with whether the ground is old or new or if you are standing or sitting, but has everything to do with crowd participation and fans making an effort..

I shook my head in disbelief when the bloke 2 along from me booed every time we lost the ball in the 2nd half against Fulham.
I couldn't help but smile thinking of the day we lost 8-0 at Watford and we were still singing at the end.
    Oh happy days!!

    Did I say that?

Move with the times, or get left behind.

I haven't got a bloody clue where you are coming from with that remark, and now feel that I have just wasted 20 seconds of my life writing a reply..

They were breaking the F A rules and the frigging stewards were just standing there watching, and at Liverpool, old Trafford etc STANDING IS NOT ALLOWED IN PREMIER LEAGUE GROUNDS and that is final, if it was just convert seated areas to standing. And talking about bias, the whole match commentary and camera work was devoted to Palace !, not once did they show you any SAFC supporters.

What do you expect for a TV company based down south?
If they showed the Mackems all the southern lasses would be heading up here in their droves trying to snaffle one of the handsome hunks they spotted on TV.
