I would exclude Dunne, SWP and O'Neill out of that list. AJ and Jenas are borderline and Philips was not in today's squad, neither were Remy or Adel.
Count me in, but I'd be a lot happier if that window would close while we still have our team. Next 5 league game include 4 at LR and one at Yeovil so I am hopeful that October will dawn with us in good shape
Thats my whole problem with Redknapp. Hes not going to be here after the summer and we will have massive upheaval no matter what division we are in. Thats exactly why Id rather have had more signings like Philips who have a chance of stepping up and less like Dunne who wont be here no matter what. On the plus side, we should have Remy and Taarabt to come back.
It is a / your problem when thinking so negatively. One step after the other. Why only five or six ? How do YOU know? Go behind the team today and let's not be so negative about any future we may (hopefully) have.
Its something that can only be proved right or wrong in the summer. Id go for Green Simpson Onuoha Hoilett Barton Oneill Austin Yun Faurlin The rest will retire or be released. We will keep Henry AJ Jenas if we dont go up.
Agree in general with your estimation, Flyer. I would add Philips, (Caesar?) and some young player and those players we are going to sign today or tomorrow. They should be characters like Philips or Austin in good ages. Would leave Faurlin to be honest. Let's see. Already booked flight and hotel for last home game against Milwall end of April ...
Always felt he needed to bring in his own players & so far done an excellent job. The difference between Harry & MH is that Harry is building a team whereas MH went on a spending spree to end up with a bunch of misfits.
I think thee's a certain amount of snobbery where Harry is concerned. His cockney "wide boy" image certainly seems to rub some people up the wrong way. Whilst I believe he's a little stuck in the past tactically, especially his love of 4-4-2, I think he's doing a very good job and is trying to build a solid team with attacking wide men ( his favourite way of playing). Maclaren may well be responsible for a lot of the good things we're seeing to.
I think it's the problem with a lot of managers who get promoted to the prem. They lose faith in the players who got them there...Norwich and Swansea are proof that you can keep the majority of the side together and do well....
Harold is really doing a good job from the ground up however its the team spirit at the moment that is delivering and Stephen is the one who needs the praise here Harold if just the face IMO Excellent start either way with Henry for me first on the team sheet at the moment. I am only watching highlights at the mo in France but its very clear he is the gardener and growing the team spirit ... in fact look around the pitch ... all leaders. OT I have a new French house at last after 7 years of looking so extra happy today ... Swords get out your speedos and you flyer ... as you both need some chill out time ... I have also purchased a river so bring your water wings. Nines, Roller and all welcome down for a break any time where i have sorted it all out Nines: I will be back defo for Brighton .... any seats going? and hopfully before 4 Brixton and Birmingham
I am over for the Brighton game, CORKeR also. We plan to meet up for a couple of scoops before and after the game. PM me closer to the time if you want to buy us a couple of pints.
oops, Id forgotten about Philips as he hasnt put on a shirt yet, I dont think Cesar will be here but hed be on the list too if he is.
But in order to do that, you must first have a team thats 90% capable of stepping up. We dont have that. We are not thinking past next summer and thats the reson why I think he will retire. Either that or hes awful at planning.
