Well I will go first then as it is all quiet

Defeated at home to the team that should finish top of the table looking at the quality they have through the whole team. Not the end of the world and more teams will lose to QPR than will beat them.

I thought Wooton had a good first game and Pearce is looking ever better.

    1) Warnock was caught out of position far too many times and the amount of chances he had to deliver a decent ball yet failed to do so was worrying
    2) Austin an animal in the tackle but did anyone else feel he picked out the wrong pass too many times or failed with the simplest of passes?
    3) Smith needs to know he is allowed to jump more than 4" when going for a header, just because he is tall it doesn't mean he doesn't have to jump when going for a header.
    4) Obvious after the first hour that Varney and Hunt are the worst strike partnership in the top 7-8 teams

Negative I know but we lost and the creativity only came from Ross who should be leading the line.

Fair result. We gave the ball away too easily, too often in midfield. Warnock wasted many chances and Paddy Kenny totally at fault for the goal.

The one obvious positive for me was Wootton.

Back to sleep at 6:15 am for me!

Agree with you about Rudy. He seems to struggle with the simple things. I found he was quite hesitant even when there wasn't much pressure on him.

I don't see the point in Noel Hunt whatsoever??

Robbed by a scrappy goal. After the first half I thought we'd get the three points but it was nowhere near the same team at the start of the second half!!

23,341 there today and Joey Barton is still a massive tw@t!!!

Diouf made an impact but looks over weight. Austin do the hard work and then give it away. Warnock is not a defender. But the championship is looking like Serie A boring cautious and negative tactics.

Noel Hunt was shocking. Don't know why Diouf only got eight minutes. Delivered the only two dangerous crosses of the game. Worryingly about Smith, at six and a half feet, his only asset is supposed to be his heading but he never managed one clean header today. In three televised games this season, we've created nothing so eight points is an ok return. Two tough away ones to come next

You missed the shot that hit the bar then? Agree far too few chances but haven't Millwall scored only two in the Championship?

I think you guys will easily make the playoffs. Smith and Poleon are some scary options to bring off the bench

Yes but Varney and Hunt scare nobody for the first 60 minutes.

Is it just me or was Green absolutely shocking. I mean how hard can it be to find a team mate with a pass.

Today just showed we are lacking that little bit of extra quality which gives a team a good shout of auto promotion. I thought we played ok first half and I have noticed a big difference already this season with the tempo we play at. (probably because BM has them a lot fitter than you know who)

We are still a work in progress. Let's just hope we don't have to wait too long to ship out some of our dross.

Last few games I have been saying exactly the same about Green although I thought he had a slightly better game today. I was thinking we are a couple of wide players short but add a striker to that as well.

On another note, I thought we brought Wooton in for peanuts, just a load of add ons for appearances and sell on fee's yet I am sure the bloke on Sky said he cost us £1million?

Given Austin's last minute shot, there but for 6 inches... (story of my life - Mrs Boggers!!!!). That said, I think today showed that our startin XI should be::

    Peltier, Wooten, Pearce, Warnock,
Byram, Austin (base of the damond), Murphy, Ross (head of the diamond)
Varney & either Poleon or Smith

Hunt needs to find a role for himself & contribute something. What did he do today? Diouf has to be on the bench & either Ross has his fee role at the ead of the diamond or this goes to Diouf & McCormack replaces Poleon.

Pity about the result. But we more than gave the likely league winners a game.

I wouldn't start with Smith but then I wouldn't start with Hunt either, maybe Ross up front and Diouf at the head of the diamond.

Point taken Ristac. Smith just gives us something different. Really not sure what Hunt gives us though. But time may tell

For a team that has the squad to be able to bring on Hoillett, Faurlin and Jenas as subs, I think we did quite well. But it was a dour game, cancelling each other out most of the time, slightly opened up in the 2nd half.

re Hunt, I don't think we use him the way we need to to get the best out of him. Same for Varney really. They are both top players, but only if you have a team set up that plays it the way it needs to be played for them to shine. I just don't know what that way is, as I don't know much history about either.

Poleon seems to be confused. There were a couple of chances where he should have run straight at the defence but chose to pass instead - clearly he has been told to pass it, and I think it's done his nut in. Let him do what he is good at, and develop it!

Thought Austin had one of the better games I have seen of him, and I've been quite critical. I expect him to cock up his passes so the rest of his game was much improved in my eyes.

Thought Green put in a good shift - again, just like Austin, passing sometimes lets him down.

Warnock just had a bit of an off-day, but when it worked for him, it looked good.

Very unsurprised that Lees has lost his spot, but Pearce needs to attack striker opportunities that come his way - he is too used to heading the ball upwards for him to be useful other than as a big lump in the opposition box.

I think that when we get Byram back, he will take Greens place and peltier keep at right back, this will give us more cutting edge down the right. I am concerned about left back as Warnock I feel is too slow and is not giving enough going forward as we have no left wing. I hope Murphy starts to create more chances but with only McCormack as really our only other full time creator we lack skill and pace. Too many loose passes and only poleon with any real pace. I think Ashdown deserves a run out as i feel he is more assured alround compared to kenny.I know i sound negative but, it only needs a few tweeks here and there as we are definatly more competitive than we have been, plus we are not losing by a hatful of goals anymore. Looking so much more better this season so far :D
