How about giving up using American phrases like 'let's give it up' .......... what next, blonde bimbos with big breasts bouncing around cheerleading? Errrrr ......... all right 'Go SKP!' I reckon we all know this could be the last time we'll see him play against up and he'll get a good cheer.
What really annoys me is when an opposition player who used to play for us gets a better reception than any of our own players. Happened with Sorensen and Whitehead (Fram) last season. How does that make our players feel. Give them a round of applause at the end yeah but don't give them a massive cheer when our own players get a little ripple of applause
Give him a cheer when he comes on then after that he's fair game then applaud him off as he will be feeling torn between his team losing and his old team winning.
I hope to hear and join in with 'there's only one Kevin Phillips' - hopefully we'll see a cameo from him coming on as sub towards the end when they are in need of a goal
Greatest player to we're our shirt but he doesn't play for us now. By the way he has returned and played against us before
My all time favourite player.

Whatever some people think, or feel, he'll be cheered. ...... this could be his last appearance in a match that concerns us. Anyone who watched him play for Sunderland will have the memories flood back when they see him on a football pitch. Without Phillips, Marco & Rowell we'd have next to nowt to have cheered for decades. We've had cameo appearances by the likes of Quinn, Bent and a few others but Phillips was someone who always consistently seemed to rescue what could have been some very bad days. He was fearless, even at SJP where they hated him, and if he doesn't deserve a cheers then it's a bloody bad job in my opinion.
