Haven't logged in for a while as all I see is one poster winding nearly everyone else up. Put him on ignore , don't answer his threads , don't rise to his insults and hopefully he (they) , will get the idea . This way, slowly but surely, without the oxygen of argument , he and hopefully those who blindly, imo, defend him, will get the idea that we don't want to waste our time reading his crap. SIMPLES !
I've been away this week too, signed in yesterday to have a look and saw the mayhem. This was all started by a Liverpool wum called noblecock.
Dai loves the attention, that's just the type of poster he is. But that doesn't mean that the topics he raises aren't worthy of discussion. We've had whole threads here on rissoles, beer and posters who know each other outside the forum backslapping and telling each other how great they are (as Stereo rightly pointed out yesterday) so at least his topics are always football related. Why people here can't use the Ignore button I don't know. It's not rocket science.

And even less time for those who wish to allow said individual his basic human right to free speech,and to "defend" such a position. Are we to understand that only YOUR views are worthy of consideration,and,or debate? It would be a sad day for democracy were that to be the case. The day may dawn,ffs,when you find yourself being pilloried for holding an opinion that may be contrary to that held by the masses. Yes, this forum needs to get rid of the oppression of the ignore button. Don't be ridiculous. Just as you have the right to express your views, others have the right to ignore you.
How the hell can anyone claim they want free speech, but then say without insult or abuse. Sorry, but you have no idea what free speech is. Taken directly from the Oxford English Dictionary My opinion is that Dai is a bell-end. You cannot have it both ways. If you are going to carry on defending Dai, then you can start laying off of those who respond to him. After all, I had started putting up with Dai, until he came at me in an insulting manner, so since then, I say what the hell I want to him. What gets up my nose, is the likes of you who defend his right to free speech, yet sit there and say you want free speech but don't want abuse and insults, well sorry to burst your little bubble, but that is censorship of free speech, exactly the opposite of what you want for Dai. So which is it? Free Speech? or The idea of free speech, but with your censorship?
@ Swansealona: You've censored you own dictionary! Ofcourse free speech is based on Mutual respect. Free speech doesn't allow you to say/write ANYTHING. Insults, name calling, racist comments or statements purely ment as humiliating fx doesn't fall under the cathegory of free speech. Comments like that are defamation (hope that IS the correct Word)! Ignoring is fine - if you get very provoked. Other strategies is could be to either laugh at crazy statements or to feel sorry/sympathetic towards the poster. One is allowed to any opinion - as long as it's not disrespectful or personal: I suppose we are here for the sake of the argument. Not to bully others (not as strong as yourself) or to get the attention (that we may miss inb our IRL-lives).
Why all the rage,swan? Is this really worth risking a stroke for? I advocate that Dai,OR ANYONE ELSE ON THIS FORUM,including yourself,be allowed to air their opinions.points of view,etc.,WITHOUT the constant bitching,harassment, bullying and general **** behaviour that goes with it,all,hopefully FREE of insults and abuse. If you have a problem with that,then that's what it is - your problem. Clearly,if abuse comes your way,then you must deal with it as you see fit. With all due respect there's one thread on here that they talk about rissoles, beer etc etc. It's all contained inside one thread and one thread only. I presume one of the mods made it a sticky and it was a good decision too. It means it doesn't spill out onto all the other threads on the board too. Also this thread doesn't descend into chaos and cause animosity like certain other people's do, no names mentioned. As for meeting up outside the forum well I don't see any problem with that at all. It's just people being sociable and having a chat about the Swans over a pint and it isn't going to kill anyone. Last season I believe that some of our posters met up with some of the Chelsea posters. To me that's brilliant, how many other fans have done that ? I remember the Chelsea lads coming on here to say what a great time they had, things like that can only enhance the reputation of our fans and our club. Can you ever imagine the Cardiff lot doing that? Lastly we have 2 supermods on this forum and both are here regularly. I wonder why that is and I bet they spend more watching this board than any other. I don't blame them either As for Dai, I don't interact at all I find it much easier
How about freedom of speech with mutual respect? I believe any debate is diluted by someone who resort to petty name calling and abusive comments.

I find it quiet amusing at times and like all drama's it keeps your board active, something that it appears your community thrives on. Although I think I should add due to the volume of posts, I would say probably at a guess 95%+ of it goes unread. The 5%- that I do look at is either to give me a good laugh or just to check someone is not being stupid enough to announce they are going on the Cardiff board for a windup dilli can you please remind me of that person's name (read on) I quite often see someone's name mentioned called Dai...seems to be popular poster in the strange sense of the word, don't think I've ever bothered to establish who that user is, I might be wrong but life is to short to worry about what I have and have not done. Who was that guy that kept PMing me saying I had banned him, then didn't believe me, when I said I couldn't remember, seriously I have job remembering what I done today let alone yesterday! Must admit though it does all get a bit boring rather than amusing when you see the same exchange time and time again. I suppose some have the art of a good windup, while others are plain boring...then you have the simpler category called Mabon...oh don't worry dilli just remembered the name I'm an advocate of freedom of speech and movement, however, that has to come without restricting others by the means of insult and threats, I'm with LIBERTARIAN on that one...is he a Swans fan...not checked. Spot on there Musty, there's a few of them that if they show their faces over here will get the same treatment from me. Say what you like about Dai and yes there is a lot but at least he doesn't have an agenda to get visiting posters banned from this board unlike some of them over there
His name is Mabon, I still haven't stopped laughing and he is red hot favourite to win most stupid poster of the year. We play Cardiff on 3rd Nov brb so you might have to ban him again
