She was 16, and she had declared herself to be on the game, and instead of shagging her, they should have all helped her, as she was vulnerable.... !?!?!? Now I'm not defending the men as such, but come on, there are so many double standards here, I am flabbergasted. First off, aren't most prozzies damaged and vulnerable? The stats show that most of them had rubbish family lives, are on drugs, and by all accounts in a very bad place. So should all men who use any prozzie or escort go to jail, for not doing the right thing, and getting the girl back on the straight and narrow? How about all the girls who are illegal immigrants? Had their passports taken and forced to go on the game, is it OK to use one of them for sex? I really fail to see how this was taken into consideration in sentencing. Secondly, lots of kids have piss poor upbringings, and many turn out to be street corner yobs, house breakers, muggers and car thieves. How come when they get discovered, they as given an Asbo or sent down for their crimes, yet this girl is a victim? I just think this judge was on crack. OK he is right, but what about all the others, where it is the young person's fault, and they do time, or get deported when caught? I'm delighted that this kid has been seen as a victim, but it's a friggin' rare miracle, as usually the young person feels the full weight of the law. I mean, she made the choice herself to go on the game, no-one was forcing her, yet other girls who don't do it out of choice are still seen as criminals... I give up.
