Just seen it. Not too bad I suppose. Reduces the chances of us agreeing a deal for Messi though. Alternatively, Yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiipppppppppppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To be honest I did see it I did hope you were right but the cynical side of me is saying this was probably pushed forward a few hours to get extra people into tomorrow's game. However let's be honest, although welcome news Ross had two years left on his contract, we were not in danger of losing him unless the board wished to cash in. The board have made this a bigger issue than it needed to be, the first time Boro came in for him it should have been refused and put to bed. The board are playing us, making this a bigger issue in an attempt to distract from the lack of transfer activity and the signings the manager really wants.
I worry that Ross can sometimes run a little hot & cold. If you don't believe me look how good he has been whilst chasing his new contract. I was impressed with the way he made sure he caught Brian's eye to say that was 3 against Ipswich (they clearly have some banter going). Now if Warnock was still here I would now expect Ross to slow down and lose interest. But in BM I trust as I firmly expect he has what it takes to keep Ross interested, scoring & off the boozing road to ruin. MOT
Apparently Boro fans are throwing the toys out of the pram now and claiming Ross wasn't worth the pay rise he got and that Leeds are the only losers in this sage no...no I defiantly think it's Middlesbrough.
I'm ecstatic and have no more doubts about gfh. They've done a great job here. Liked Haigh saying they couldn't ignore the fans singing Ross is not for sale. Don't care if we don't buy anyone else to be honest. Resisted posting on the Boro board till now. Think I might have gone a tad overboard but well see
I think the Boro board on here is dead, I could be wrong but I think the Boro fans are kicking off on JA606
So Ross signs up, we still have Byram, we have strengthened immeasurably, playing some good football at times, not lost yet this season, and owners saying all the right things and doing things slowly and bringing the fans on board. Chances of buying the stadium, and a great manager. I'd hazard a guess - we're doing ok. Is that sombre enough for some?
