    Great player but won't happen.

Also we should really be focusing on wide men rather than strikers (although a striker of his ability would be hugely effective in our team).

I agree with Josh. We have more than enough goals within the team. What we lack, assuming Hall is at least going out on loan for BMD to have a better look at him, is a winger in the Gradel/Snoddy mode who can give us another attacking option. If RVT can ful fill that role, sign him up. If not, look elsewhere.

I don't know if it's true or not but I was led to believe he could/has played as a winger and he is quite pacey so he could possibly be Gradel mk 2. Even though Hunt gives his all for the side I just don't see him having the raw goalscoring ability to get past 15 goals at the maximum this season. I'd be hugely delighted (surprised) if we got RVT because it would be a pacey clinical forward with potential of 20+ goals along with Ross's 20+ would be enough to get us atleast into the play offs.

RVT played out of position all last season for big Sam. The season before he was their top scorer with 24 goals from playing up top. Sam then wanted him out wide so after having 3-months out with injury he came back and played out wide for the rest of the season. he had the most assists and was still their top scorer last season.

He only managed 3 goals in all competitions last season, Nolan was their top scorer on 10. I'd still take him though, looked good in the Championship.

He was exceptional for Barnsley/West Ham in the Championship and West Ham look to want to off load him. I don't think they'd say no to loan with £1.5-£2m at the end of the season as long as we was paying all of his wages. Might seem a bit steep for us but quality costs these days and a couple of mill is on the low side for someone of RVT quallity.

I don't know, if we were going to spend £2m I think we'd be better off going for Mackay-Steven and one other, £2m on a player who has really only ever had one genuinely successful season seems a tad steep. That said, if he came in and had a Gradel-esque impact, nobody would care how much he cost.

RVT ripped us apart from the wing playing for Barnsley. Scored a hatrick that game as well.

Guardian reporting interest from us but we'll have to move quick if we're serious bout it. Half a dozen Championship clubs, a few newly promoted Premiership sides and a few sides from Germany interested.

2m might be a bit steep (I think Big Sam would be willing to let him go for a bit less) but he is a player I believe is as good if not better than RM. He could be the pacey goalscoring flair the side has so desperately needed over the last few seasons since selling Gradel and Snoddy.

Daily Star claiming West Ham want £1.5 mil for him.

Yup I'd have him in a heart beat! Our formation doesn't suite an out and out winger...

Someone like Vaz Te would be perfect!
