Taarabt could be one of world’s best, says QPR skipper
Adel Taarabt celebrates his goal for Fulham against Burton Albion on Tuesday night Adel Taarabt celebrates his goal for Fulham against Burton Albion on Tuesday night

QPR captain Clint Hill has challenged Adel Taarabt to prove that he is one of the best players in the world during his loan spell at Fulham this season.

    .

    ..

Taarabt joined Rangers’ west London rivals on a season-loan earlier this month, after manager Harry Redknapp appeared to lose patience with the enigmatic midfielder.

The 24-year-old Moroccan has settled well with the Premier League side, scoring for the Whites in their victory over Burton Albion in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.

And Rs skipper Hill, who has seen the best and worst of Taarabt since QPR’s promotion-winning 2011 season, believes he could play for one of the world’s top sides if he can add consistency to his natural ability.

“If Adel was right and was consistent, he would not be here, he would be playing for one of the top three or four teams in the world,” said Hill.

“Ability-wise he’s one of the best players I have seen.

“It is just getting that consistency out of him. It’s a big opportunity for him to go away to another Premier League team and prove to people that he does deserve to be there.

“If he gets that part of his lifestyle right and his mentality then I am sure he can go on to be a player people will talk about.”

Well it was against Burton, not many Premier League players get too excited scoring against that level of opposition!

I would have thought putting the ball in the back of the net would have at least got a smile

Blah Blah Blah and around we go again. Hill is regurgitating the same thing that every one of us has been saying since day one.

Its been done to death now. Time to change the record.

I will bite. I was only thinking how awful Fulham's away kit is. I really like our third kit and will be buying the jersey when I am over for the Brighton game.

Remember ST holders and members can get you a ticket for £10.

I think Fulham's away kit is awful, really bad.

Not to keen on the red FT but the kit is ok. look good in a darker colour.

as for our green and yellow aussie/Norwich piece of sh**e...agree..

    BUT

The only thing better about yours than our Dennis kit is the fact you have the Prem badge on yours !
the rest os a very poor 2nd..IMHO

Yes, check the offy. I read something on there last night that ST holders and members can bring up to 6 people at a cost of £10 each. I think you have to sit in the Lower School end.

Went to the QF and even though we won I was very disappointed by the performance. I give Kerry little chance and call me a fair weather supporter but I am going to watch the match in the pub and have a few pints rather than make the trip.

OK enjoy the game and may the best team win.

The Brighton deal is listed under "friends & family ticket offers". £10 for friends & family of ST holders and members.

The £5 for U16's to the Birmingham match is listed as "Beat the back to school blues".

Hopefully, this saves somebody a few quid.
