Morning Peeps, TEENAGE comedian Jack Carroll (Britains got talent) will be doing it for the kids when he performs at Leeds Unitedâs Elland Road ground tomorrow. The keen Leeds fan, from Hipperholme, near Halifax, is one of a number of acts helping to launch the clubâs new Families United initiative. They will be appearing in a stage area that has been set up in Elland Roadâs East Stand concourse to provide pre-match entertainment for children. Club bosses hope Families United will encourage more young supporters to start attending games. Its gonna be a belter of a game. You just never know. I can see our promotion odds dissolve if we get a result tomorrow. It looks like the banter has already started between the Leeds and the QPR not606ers. Its keep it clean peeps... How should McDermott line up? Should we start with Wootton? Should there be space on the bench for Byram and Diouff? Would anyone like to see Mowatt on the bench, or is it too early?
Morning all - Lots of decisions for the manager to make with players returning and those who were given a chance midweek staking a claim. I expect pretty much the same starting 11 but a stronger looking bench, I half expect Byram to come on in midfield for the last twenty minutes.
Morning all. Good initiative anything that will encourage the kids back. It's a very different market than even ten years ago and clubs need to offer more than just 90 minutes of sometimes mediocre footie to keep the youngsters interested. It hint Wootton might get a start with Mowatt surely making the bench. I'm not fussed about diouf anymore as I don't think he's part of mcd plans and he certainly wouldn't be looking to sign him if not already at the club. Of course, at some point, the strength of our squad will be important with suspensions and inevitable injuries so Diouf may prove a useful squad member then. The McCormack saga seems to have gone eerily quiet. On twitter he predicted yesterday would be a great day hopefully but no further tweets. I wonder has he reached agreement on new contract but can't say anything until official announcement. Love these live sky matches. For those of us without the finances to fly over several times a year, the sky coverage is precious. Surely some of our deadwood will be moving on over the weekend. Lots of rumours flying around yesterday with White being one of the most likely. By the way Elland what are our current promotion odds?
Morning all, Would be very suprised to see Byram in the squad as he is gonna play 60 mins for the development squad on Monday, McD still not sure his hip is okay. Looks like Andrew Haigh got it wrong about Ross signing yesterday, lets hope its today. Hopefully we can get rid of some of the deadwood but if not i'm not to worried. Gfh have a two or three year plan and i'm sure once the debts have been cleared and these players contracts are up they will back McD in the transfer market.
Morning all, sat on the 16 into Leeds on the way to a job interview. Not so bad, in the spirit of frisky Friday there's a couple of tidy birds on here! Don't reckon Ross will sign a new contract before the window closes, but I'm 110% sure he's staying put. No offers currently on the table for any of our players puts paid to the Middlesbrough rumours
Good morning one and all .I still fear that the Mc FACTOR has not gone away and until Tuesday I will hold my breath.I also think that Rowe factor could materialize with Hall going the other way .Vaz Te will only arrive if Mc is sold or he will go to Cardiff or Crystal P more money .Mckay Stephens again only if Mc is sold
Morning all. Ignoring the RM factor until 11.01pm on Monday. Same category as the "Scottish play" for actors. As to who should start and who should be on the bench. I think Wooten should start instead of Lees, with Lees clearly on the bench. I also think Diouf and Mowatt should be on the bench. I'd like to see Smith and Poleon start up front, Poleon to add pace and trickery, and Smith to give us something different and something different for QPR to worry about. I also wouldn't be against two holding CMs playing - Brown and Austin - in a 4231 formation. This would give us smith up front on his own, a flat three in midfield of Poleon, U NO HO, & Tonge or Green on the right, and a flat back 4. I'd settle for a 1-1 draw but I hope we've progressed enough under BMD to win 2-1 at home.
I think the bench is more interesting than the starting 11 tomoz. I hope to see Mowatt and Byram sat there along with EHD, Smith and Hunt. I expect to see wholesale changes made later which will see Byram bombing down the right and knocking balls into Smith to tap in. 4 - 1 Leeds and a big stake in the ground made.
Just going to throw some names out there for you to bat straight back at me: Stephen Ireland Simon Davies Vincente Rodriguez Stephen Hunt Vaz Te Kaka All available
Be nice to find out why Brighton got rid/left of Rodriguez the Portuguese winger (Boggers) as he played every game under Gus and scored loads as well?
If BMD signed Kaka and played him on the wing I wouldn't give a toss. You're starting to get too pedantic mate
