We didn't actually pay £2.6m for him. Apparently it was nowhere near that; it was closer to half that. That's the story anyway. And even at £2.6m, it wasn't a massive chunk of our budget, considering the money we spent last season. He'll probably go back to Germany and start scoring again, but that's the way of things these days. I really rated him, but SB clearly isn't impressed, so it'll be Auf Weidersehen pet.
Whether they admit it or not, the Leicester fans on here know that it's very rare a transfer is paid fully up front. Fact is the initial fee won't have been £2.6m but a significant chunk of any add ons will have been on if we got promoted, regardless of his own contribution. So chances are we've paid the majority of the rumoured £2.6m total that the deal could have reached, not that it matters as it's not a lot of money compared to what we get from sky etc. but we're going to make a significant loss on him and there's no denying it. Then again, if Leicester fans were offered a **** striker for £2.6m but it guaranteed promotion I'll bet they'd jump at it. The positives of his goal against Cardiff obviously far outweigh the negatives, so who really gives a **** eh?!
They might be, but if you could have Leicester in the Prem but had to take everything really seriously during that period, I bet you'd jump at it.
I watch MOTD, missed the one all the way back on the first of January this year, but have seen every single one since. And I'm yet to see a Danny Graham goal?
Ouch ... that's gotta hurt ... great result for all you tiggers at the weekend ... but I have a feeling that young Jack will be waiting for some time before he gets to see a Danny Graham goal on MOTD...
