Just noticed that we are up to 6th in the League of Leagues...!!! Well done all, lets see if we can chase the top League down... Only about 400 points short, that's not impossible to get back... And we have 8 players within the top 1,000 with Aylesbury Bucks doing the best in 181st position... Keep your selections going people, lets get the Princess up to the top...!!!
Nassau selections please folks! Don't forget you get penalised 10 points for very race you fail to make a selection!
I think the Nassau result will have a big impact, I don't think many people will have selected the first two home.
Please accept my apologies for a no show last couple I have been in sunny Somerset since the 24th July with virtually no internet, even on phone due to bad signalling. I love the West Country but they are soooo last century in many places. Example: Because the Holiday Park had no Wifi (I mean, come on guys - 2000 visitors MUST create a demand for one?) and the phone signal was poor to none, I had to search around for a pub etc with broadband. We went to a pub on Tuesday evening for a meal, and I discovered a Wifi signal on my phone, connected and was flying, but not wishing to be rude, switched off, with note to come back in the morning to study racing and do Qipco selectoipns. Went back the following morning, sat at the same table, only to get a message saying password required - I asked a passing waitress for the pw to be told they are on a card from behind the bar. OK - I can do that - went to the bar and asked for a card with the pw please. Sorry said the barmaid - we have no cards left. Well just tell me the password then I suggested reasonably. The answer was "Sorry I don't know it, as it's on the card." I'm not often left at a loss for words but I was then!
In the League of Leagues we are up to third, great stuff fellas. Massive well done to David Flower who individually has two entries in the top 60. Brilliant stuff!
All due to Robert Cowell in the sprints - hope he can do the same in the next one !! I don't think I've backed any of my winners though - DOH !!
Indeed - great stuff as Stick has already said and some fantastic personal heroics along the way ... but a disaster for me in the last race .. zero points ....I went from position 953 ... to 2567 ... I couldn't believe it when I saw individual scores on the day of over 800 !!!! anyway putting personal pride to one side .. we could still win this competition yet and place the Pricess on the top of the tree where she rightly belongs !!! Lets keep pushing all the way
Haven't been on here for ages. Great that it is still a thriving board. Just thought I'd have a look at the thread as I am one of those lucky golden Robert cowell ticket holders. And I selected jwala for my other squad! The scoring is utterly mental tho so my satisfaction is minimal. Keep up the good work guys.
Can someone please advise this in the DT on a day where a qualifying race is being run. I've missed far too many by being unaware of them - sorry!
