Why do you think i wrote "the type who keeps telling me that you have $40 million to give me, if i give you my bank details?"

I may be an imbecile, but i'm not an imbecile.

And who starts college at 13? most BS excuse for immigration since edward snowden realised he'd done a bad thing in giving away confidential matters of national security.

My bad. Its late and I'm tired. And 3 and 8 look awfully similar when its 11PM and you're not wearing glasses and the S3 keys are awkwardly placed

Got excited when there were so many new pages this morning. Even thought for a moment a signing may be close!! Can you believe it. Still holding hope of a not-last-minute-we've-missed-everything-else purchase.

I read some of the posts and it was just Hans/Kyle v Cym and Oxo tag team matchup and Kyle tired them out at the end <rofl>

No news at the moment, man they must be keeping it so quiet than even the Amercian AWAC military surveillance planes can't pick anything up.

Me too. Instead it was a boring off-topic argument. The BBC gossip column makes for depressing reading this morning as well. The only thing concerning Arsenal is a rumour stating that if we fail in our Cabaye bid then we'll go for some 22 year old no-mark midfielder from St. Etienne that no-one has ever heard of. Ooh to be a gooner eh? FFS

Sigh. Looks like its going to be a deadline day dash to try and land a bargain or two.

Meanwhile Spurs have assembled a very nice looking squad and Liverpool have somehow managed to keep hold of Suarez.

Fingers crossed Real Madrid try and offload De Maria/Ozil/Benzema to finance this Bale move and we capitalise. But to be honest I've lost my faith In Wengers judgement and in the boards ability to land big name players.

But then I'm tired and grumpy this morning - maybe after my morning coffee I will be a little more optimistic.

Wenger's contract is up at the end of the season right? Might be time for everyone to move on if things stay as they are. Unless he manages a genuine title push with this squad (highly unlikely), his contract should not be renewed. Get a new manager in and give him the budget Wenger apparently has to bring in players he wants. I just don't get why we haven't bought players in. Is it Wenger, the board, the market?? Highly confusing and annoying. Even if we do get the required players and numbers in it will take them months to settle and by then we could all ready be out of the title race. We got rid of so much deadwood and thinned the squad so early I really had hope for a tranche of new quality faces coming in early. The removing of so many players now seems like a mistake seeing as we haven't even replaced one of the players we got rid of let alone the players we should have got anyway.

Still not official but its actually a decent bit of business.

This is what we need to turn us into title contenders.

    Flamini - Free
    Defender - Richards/Williams/Hoewedes - £10 Million
    GK - Casillas
    LW/RW/AMF - Di Maria/Ozil
    ST - Rooney/Suarez/Demiao/Benzema

    --------------------Casillas------------------
    Sagna---Mertesacker---Koscieleny---Gibbs
    --------Wilshere----Ramsey/Arteta--------
    -------------------Ozil----------------------
    Walcott----------Rooney-----------Carzorla

Strong Bench: Giroud, Podolski, Rosicky, Flamini, Monreal, Vermaelen,Sczezney.

Ramsey doesn't even make the bench after the start to the season he's had?

I know I'm clutching at straws here but I saw this on Twitter: https://twitter.com/wayneveysey

He's the 'Chief correspondent' at Goal.com, hardly a reliable source

Close to signing another player as well according to him...

Rooney aside that is a very good team. I think he is better in the Ozil/Cazorla creative role, with a striker alongside. Giroud is doing well enough atm.

I've not seen him week in, week out but I have seen him a fair amount over the last 2 years and I don't think he is that good.

He is a foil for Ronaldo and that is it. Hugely over rated imo.

Though players that Wenger signs usually fit in straight away like they have been with you for years. Nasri and Arshavin spring to mind.
