Its at home..We'll put out the same team that beat LO...They'll play their 1st team. They'll win 1-0...The BBC will call it a giant killing. Will I care? NO.
This. Cup runs are great, but, as I have already said, for this season I couldnt care less if we went out as I would rather us focus on survival.
A great opportunity to progress to the next round. Hopefully we will see a slightly stronger side with Prossie, Stewart and McLean all binned off.
I think we'll play a margainly better team to get into the last sixteen. Particularly as up to four of last nights players might be gone by then.
Totally agree, I don't buy into this 'it's a distraction' or 'couldn't care if we go out' mentality, we've been gifted two easy games and should take advantage. A winning mentality is priceless and last years cup results show just what the smaller clubs can achieve if they go for it.
If they've any sense, the club will stick a low ticket price in for this game and get as many in the stadium as possible. It is then down to Brucie to put a team out that can win. Some first teamers who might be struggling for form and the rest of the team should be those who would be bench options. Just for once in my lifetime I'd like to see us in at least the semi-final of a cup completion or even win one. Winning the Arrow Air Cup and Billy Bly Trophy just don't cut it with me no more.
Week commencing 23rd Sept. I can't go, I will have gone to university by then. Why couldn't it have been another away game?
