    I now think we're going to do a kuqi. A body, nothing more, someone worse than what we have. Pardew has now claimed we need someone short term so it'll be someone like Doyle. Really starting to get to the point of being utterly apathetic.

    Bit silly really signing (Kevin Doyle that is). Good news though is we have kept basically the same team together, so perhaps they won't have to bond or get used to league.

    I feel though we do need another top quality striker still possibly.

    Yeah that would be a good signing, just feel we need to get a player on a permanent deal in to.

    Scott Sinclair on loan would actually be a good idea. We'd get to see if he could cut it as an effective Premier League winger - Swansea fans have doubts.

    Wouldn't solve the need for striker reinforcements though.

    Emeghera has literally just signed for Livorno on loan from Siena.

    7/1 for Troy Deeney is exactly what it suggests - incredibly unlikely.

    As we've known forever, the club want a big target man. They wouldn't pay £15m for Carroll. They've allegedly tried to sign Gomis. I daresay they've asked about a few others (Giroud, Benteke and Lukaku spring to mind) but had no chance with any for one reason or another. So they've gone back in for Ba, pretty much the only player in our price range and who fits the balance between being quite good yet willing to play for Pardew.

    Innocent Emeghara is still owned by Lorient - spent half of last season on loan at Siena.

    He's seriously fast - one of the quickest players I've seen. If he has the skill to go with it he'd make an interesting signing.
