Great news as rangel is looking a bit off colour early season,a bit of competition is good for everybody and it also means the partnership between them when rangel pushes up into midfield can once again add great defensive balance when needed !

Tiendalli has signed a 3 yr deal at the Swans .

Very interesting, what are your thoughts guys ?

Good news, the best crosser of the ball at the club, good back up.

Seems nobody else wanted him then. Thought he was a tidy player. Personally would have told him to stick it after he turned down his first offer. Seems his or his agent head got a bit to big after a half tidy season.

good business for us , with Neil out for a bit and as you say the two fullbacks haven't had the best of starts (Ben was ruined on Sunday) ,he'll certainly slot in for either position.although where does that leave Jazz Richards ,out again ?

I tend to agree that he/his agent over valued him but putting that to one side I always thought he should have stayed with us, you cant blame the guy for wanting to get the best deal for himself , he was only given a 1yr deal so was well within his rights to look at the market.

With us signing Bony and now having someone that can actually cross a ball(apart from Pablo) to him it bodes well, I thought Laudrups idea of playing Rangel and Dwight together was a master stroke last season as we were very solid on that side of the field but not lacking in the odd attacking movement, rangel and Dwight played some great football together in this combination so I think its a good idea to have him here long term.

Im very happy with this deal, glad we got him. a good player who never let us down when called upon . 27 yrs old and has a few good years of growth in his game, it will also give rangel a chance to rest while Tiendalli will be a safe pair of hands in Europe or covering in the prem league.

Great signing for us. Maybe this will give some of our defenders the kick up the backside they need <ok>

Defence is where are problems lie IMO. Tiendalli is not the best defender in the world but he will add competition for places which I think could be something that rangel will benefit from.

Centre half is another area where I feel there isn't enough pressure applied, its early days though, espeically with chico as he also missed a fair bit of pre season

Good to have a known quantity back in the fold. Good news for the club, but bad news for Jazz. I was hoping he would get a chance to show what he can do this season. On the other hand, does say something about Taylor versus Jazz. It's going to be interesting to see how this pans out. I wonder whether Tiendalli's fitness is ready for him to play right away.

Another centre half, another DM (hopefully a powerhouse) and a striker and it's all systems go <ok>

Isn't that a squad of 23 as it stands?

If ML can get an under 21 striker to supports the Bony/Michu options, then we've still got two spaces for some additions at this window or next!

Excellent news, especially as he is on a three year contract as that adds a bit of stability for all concerned <ok>

He was holding out for a longer contract. It appears he's had his way, will definitely strengthen the squad. He did have offers from other clubs including one premiership club but did not commit whilst he was still in negotiations with swansea. Glad to see him back

Fantastic news. Very pleased to read this. I've always rated Tiendally and I've never understood why Swansea did let him go cos Tiendalli IMO really did a great job for us. Yes I know there were disagreements in contracts negotiations, but we can be very happy to have Tiendalli back now. A 3 year deal is fine. Tiendally is IMO a great defender, good attacking abilities, excellent crosser and he's very comfortable with the ball. He allways makes it very difficult for the wingers of the opponents to go behind him.
