Unfortunately I wasn't in the E1 to E3 area on Saturday, just wondering if a McGregor song got going ?

If it didn't I can see him becoming a bit of a cult hero and deserving of a song.

Any songsmiths on here got any ideas ?

I think the chant that does exist is in Brady's Bunch's signature.

I was hoping so, it's a good line to have for a cult hero.

We could maybe do with an improved Robbie Brady chant too?

If we can incorporate " he dives to the left, he dives to the right, he shags ten birds a night " into it we're sorted.

I heard rangers sang " Alan mcgregor! He's shagged our wives! He's shagged our wives!" I don't know if I'd start it off in w10 next to the kids but feel free in e1. Same tune as villas "gabby gets us goals"

One did start but only about 10 people knew the words, so it wasn't very loud!

    Al Mcgregor in our goal
    E-i-e-i-o
    Al Mcgregor in our goal
    E-i-e-i-o
    He dives to the left
    he dives to the right
Al Mcgregor shags birds all night
    Al mcgregor in our goal
    E-i-e-i-o

    Lame as but it works!

The following to '10 men went to mow' would work, it'd go on for a while and then it'd go nuts at 10 (as that;s just what always happens!)

    Mcgregor a shagged a wife
    Mcgregor shagged a wiiiife
    Al Mcgregor shagged a wife
    Mcgregor a shagged a wife

    Mcgregor shagged 2 wives
    etc etc

Can't imagine Burnsey asking him an an interview if he liked it mind!

Could work, but the syllables would leave us singing "Here's to you, Rob-ee-Bray-ayy-dee", wish doesn't sound quite right.

Syllable-wise it works for McGregor, Rosenior and Aluko.

Could push to Huddlestone if we call him Thomas or Tommy.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. Could sort-of work with Brady, but probably better with one of your options.

I like Sone Aluko, Tommy Huddlestone, or maybe Elmohamady?

I think the latter two probably make the most sense, Aluko doesn't roll off the tongue very well.

Elmohamady is a good spot though, I skimmed straight over him, thinking that both names needed using.

Still, I'd go with Tommy Huddlestone, purely because I think he's going to more loved by the fans and Elmohamady pisses me off because of all the "Elmo Elmo Elmo!" comments on the club's Facebook page <doh> <laugh>

I actually went to the trouble of blocking about 20 Egyptians who had commented completely irrelevantly about Elmohamady, Fathi or Gedo, before realising that I fighting a losing battle. There're just too many of them.

Don't get me wrong, I welcome the foreign support - just don't spam the supporters' page.

I thought that was a pun at first, until I remembered Elmo is from Sesame Street, not the Muppets.

But you're right, some morons do post on the facebook page

Might as well throw this in:

Yannick on the streets of London
Yannick on the streets of Birmingham
    Sagbo scores by himself.

You put your big head in
    Your big head out
    In
    Out
    In
    Out
and you spark the player out
You headbut the opposition with 30 minutes gone
Cos that's what Yannick Sagbo's all about

    Oh Yannick Sagbo.

    Walking in McGregor's wonderland
