Alreet! Havent posted for a while but have been reading when i get chance.. Anyway, tomorrow sees me making my long anticipated* playing debut at St James Park. I cant bliddy wait! Im no footballer, but to just be able to run around the pitch for a half will be the pinnacle of several years lack of effort, ability or even general fitness. It worked for Luque anyway. For those of you who dont know what it is and quite how me and my mates work lot are gonna be the second worse team ever to grace the pitch, apart from the visitors last halloween, basically NUFC open the pitch, changing room and Shearers bar up to those mad enough to pay to play a game with proper officials etc, before they rip it up. I think its been going a few years now, and seems to be canny popular. Mates who've played before say its unforgettable running out and just playing there. 1 mate who scored last year said he was buzzing for weeks. Anyone on here played there before? How was it for you???? Would a 2012 Not606 Mag team be out of the question? I will keep you updated with how it goes, tho i may not be on here till sunday night. And if i completely humiliate myself as expected, not at all! *by me and only me.
I did it on Wednesday. Sureal experience. Pitch is terrible though. Loved it, didn't score but drew 3-3. Officials were a good laugh as well. It's not on next year due to the Olympics but hopefully will do it the year after. Would be nice if it was a not606 event.
Would be well up for playing there asap, don't think any of my mates would pay the price like, so not606 party sounds good

Would love this Didn't play this year but played last year, terrific experience the team I was in lost 3-1 but I cracked the bar with a free kick and the sound echoed around. The pitch was very sandy though and wasn't the best for sliding in.
Well.......the whole day was class, although very surreal.. The whole shebang of walking out onto the pitch, even for a brief warm up, to then walking out for the match, then playing the full game which i didnt expect, was amazing. It was a 12 goal thriller, unfortunately only 2 were ours... D'oh! Turns out the lad who organised the teams put all the sunday league players on his team, and all the unfit useless buggers, ie me on the other team. I was left wing, then left back, then left wing back as we lost players vomiting and drunk(!). Almost scored right at the end, when we had a real up and at them charge at them, but it wasnt to be. Quite impressed i was still running by then tbh. I was tidy in possesion, but its safe to say Perch is a better number 14 than me. But yes, a not606 game next time would be awesome!
