It took massive media pressure for Capello to put Bent in the England squad and he'd scored 25 goals the previous season. Beckford, like Bent, isn't fashionable enough. If Baines got a haircut he'd be a regular shoe in. Cole's had his day, as has Lampard, Ferdinand and Terry. Thanks for winning us nothing! We need new blood in the squad and at the top. Roll on 2012 and we can say ciao!
beckford is a poor player. never going to be good enough for international level. never really going to be a success anywhere. reckon he will fit in well at everton though
