It aint bad management it is management. Laudrup knows better than all of us , if he thought our best way to play was to put Michu up front and keep Bony on the bench then im happy with that. this is why we have amassed a pittance of 9 points out of a possible 42......I rest my case..
What you choose to believe is totally, completely and utterly irrelevant. If the word from our bench is that Bony was nursing a knock on his ankle then I'm far more inclined to take their word than yours. What utter garbage..."the word from the bench indeed" What they came and found you did they ivor and let you know the word like..
Rodgers is not good enough to lace up laudrup's boots as a player but its the opposite when it comes to management skills thats for sure...he has a lot to learn..
Are you sure? Brendan was at Liverpool when Laudrup wrecked his only chance for Europe last season. Don't let Liverpool beating two relegation scrapers by a single goal go to your head, they still have to play a mid table team.
It's clear to me, after reading this thread that Dai has never played the game, he hasn't a bloody clue!...............
How long did it take Graham to adjust to this level? Bony will need another 5 or 6 games to adjust to the prem, so I see him starting for the teams that are at our level, but coming off the bench for the top 8 teams, anyway I think Poz, could do a job up front, but maybe Laudrup thinks he's too young for the responsability, which ever way you look at it, I'm happy with Laudrup, though I think he should have played Britton along side Cannas, with shelvey further up field, and had DeGuz on the bench, we would have been stronger in midfield against Spurs for sure then, but still we are only 2 games in, so no big deal, we can only go up!.......... Dai I see you were giving it the Liverpool big one when the scousers came wumming on our board! How stupid are you?
Coming from someone who must have a First Class honours degree in spouting garbage, I find your post very funny, to the point of being pathetic. As for the "word from the bench" statement, it was an expression, a way of putting things, not meant to be taken literally. Only a complete fool would do that. In future I'll try and use words of no more than two syllables so you can better understand. Now jog off and infest the Liverpool board where you belong. By the way, I was disgusted by the way you sided with the Scousers against your own on another thread. But then we are not your own are we, Dai? If you felt obliged to take the Scouser's side, being a so-called Swansea City fan on the Swansea City board, the least you could have done is to maintain a dignified silence and post your views on the Liverpool board. Quite frankly, I resent the time I waste in replying to you. I have no time for you or your posts and in no way do I regard you as a genuine Swansea supporter. As they say, with fans like you, who needs enemies?
Laudrup gave us our best season ever. Liverpool aren't even the best team in Liverpool......I rest my case.
When players are no longer fighting for their life or a trophy they lose that extra 5% in performance that wins games whether they want to or not.
I too was disgusted with the way Dai sided with the scouser wums, on that thread Ivor, really cannot understand his attitude on times, making out that Rodgers is better than Laudrup, did Rodgers get us to 9th, did he win any trophies? No......Scousers coming on here and giving it big after 2 wins, says it all. He'll be calling for Laudrup's head again, in next to no time! ?..................
Dai can be his own worse enemy,as evidenced by his comment to Ivor. No need for it. As regards his continued love-in with Rodgers/Liverpool,whilst it goes over my head,I can see why many are infuriated by it.
There are quite a few clubs going on poor runs after showing great form. Norwich have 4 wins out of 24. West brom have a similar run, can't remember the exact but something like 4 wins out of 23. Newcastle have gone on a dreadful run since their great form. Swansea looked to be a superb/class act (and you still may be) but are also suffering from a bad run. In all these instances you need to ask if the good runs where down to the manager and the potential he has shown, or where they a one-off? in your case I believe it was down to Laudrup and its only a matter of time before you start improving.
You can post here again mate ! with common sense like that your comments are like Cryptonite to Daiswans Anti Swans views ! ..
You have a class team and you should have got a draw agaisnt us on the weekend and If your defence was in tune agaisnt Utd, you would have been more in the game in terms of the scoreline. (but you know this anyway) Granted your form last year, towards the end of the year had a drop, yet you won a cup and achieved European football, isn't that something to be more proud of then finishing 2-3 places higher in the league? I would say yes. I like the look of your new midfield, Shelvey fits in well with his drive and energy and for me the key is Michu/Bony, that partnership has to work in the league and Laudrup is a class act, you can tell he isn't deluded like other managers and is aware of the issues, but also realistic as to what can he achieved. He's also right to say "We will see when we've played seven or eight games how many points we have." as some teams have an easy start, others have a much harder start, meaning you don't see the true picture until after 7-8 games, then you get a clear reflection of the current teams potential for the season.
I'd back what Boss is saying, but I'd also add a couple of things. Wait until you've played everyone once. Nobody would like to start against Man Utd at home and Spurs away. Not many sides picked up a lot of points in those fixtures last season. Add in the extra fixtures from playing in the Europa, which is new for a lot of your players if not the manager, and you're going to slip up a bit. It's a learning experience. Unless you've got a massive squad, like some of the clubs at the top who've been there for some time, playing an extra game a week will cost you points. That's the price that you pay for winning a trophy (congratulations!) and moving forward as a club (more congratulations!). Look at Newcastle. The other thing is that virtually every side that's won the league cup in recent years has followed up with dire form, unless they've had something in particular to play for after that. The players know that they're already in Europe, they're either not going to get relegated or there's very little chance and they go into holiday mode. It happened to us, it's happened to you and it sent Birmingham down. Ignore it unless your form continues into the new year.
Even fans of other clubs like Swansea more than Dai! Boss, I have already stuck my neck out and fancy Spurs for a top 4 finish this year. Good luck for the rest of the season (except the return game down the Liberty!)
