    No doubting Ranger is speedy and troubles defense: but he can't score, he just physically can't do it. Saying that he's mostly had sub starts is a poor excuse too considering the enormous number of times he got into shooting positions and totally fluffed up. That West Ham incident is so hilariously bad that I struggle to imagine any other premier league footballer screwing it up that poorly.

    A loan out would be best, to see if he can manage in the championship but I wouldn't be all that devastated if he was sold to a Premier League side as I can't see him progressing with his shooting at all unless he moves down a division.

    I think it has more to do with Pardews new, stricter routines & rules.

    It will be a bad move if we get rid - he is far superior than Shola and Lover - yes he is an arse and needs a good kicking but he needs games - he will be brilliant- if we continue with Shola next season instead of Ranger I will be gutted!! But I will be even more gutted if we sell him to another prem club, as he will no doubt turn out to be excellent! Imagine if Manu pick him up!!

    aye i read that earlier but i'm sorry he's just not good enough for this league and at the age of 31 he's never going to be,the more i saw him this season the more frustrated i got with him and in some games he was anonymous complete waste of time pointless keeping him imo

    Totally this ^^^^^

    I am in no way a fan of Ranger and have thought for a while that he is ****e and will never be near the level of Andy Carroll. However I Have never claimed to be a football expert and will also look into the opinions of others. It seems that in general most fans on here think that he will come good. For that reason I think the above is correct and if he turns out to have no impact at a Championship club then defo get rid.
