Good Morning Folks,

Welcome back!!! Is everyone refreshed???

Mowbray is still after McCormack!!! At what stage do we call the police about harassment??? He doesn't want to go, and Leeds don't want to sell him, so do one <doh>

After four games, Leeds sit in 6th place on 8 points. Thoughts? Is that more, or less than what you would think that we'd be on, at this point of the season? Lets not forget we face QPR at ER on Saturday!!! Who thinks we can get anything out of it???

Talking about London clubs, I want to see a big round of applause for Millwall getting their first point of the season on the board <applause> Morison has had an op, and will be out for 4 weeks. Don't worry Lions, that won't make much of a difference.....

Wooton is set to make his debut tonight against Donny in the Cup. Here's my team for tonight

Ashdown or Cairns if Ashdown still injured
Wootton
Drury
Pearce
Peltier
Green
Brown
Norris
White
Diouf
Poleon

Expectation, 2-0 win to Leeds. Thoughts?

Morning all. Excellent result Saturday just caught up on the highlights. Just thinking, if we hadn't McCormack this season, weed be propping up the table with the wallies. Why boro haven't been told t F off is a complete mystery to me. Keeping him on board, in my opinion, could be worth ten places in this league to us, or in othe words a chance of playoffs as opposed to bottom end struggle. A this point, I wish it was this day week

Morning Eire, imagine if we still had Gradel and Snodgrass. We'd be challenging for top two, I reckon...

Morning all!! Someone at Leeds is keeping Boro interested, and they must be getting close to the figure that is acceptable. Why else continue to try? Still feel they have offered Ross a FAT wage increase, which may explain why he's upped his game ... increasing his value to Boro more and more, and as the form player in the Champs they will be even more desperate to get him. This may well go to the wire to force Boro to really get serious with their money - only way to stop this is Ross signs a new deal.

Very pleased with eight points so far, and we've picked up four of those at away grounds where we've traditionally come unstuck. Now for some more clean sheets to push on the improvement ... and some more signings.

Millwall are going down, they are suffering from the Jackett effect, and their beloved former boss will be waving as he passes them on the way up with Wolves. Wallies better not blink or they'll miss it, that's how fast they'll be falling into Lge One.

Have a great day everyone, here's hoping we can stuff Donny.

Morning all. Not a great performance, but a great result and the media insist that we were by far the better side, so well done boys. More confident this season than last about us being able to grind out results, don't concede as many goals and pick up a point that seemed to be lost. So can achieve top 10 so far, but we are still crying out for at least 2 quality signings. We need more width and guile to ensure we can use the forwards to score the goals. Smith will not get much game time unless he has something to stick his head on, Ross is a striker and not a winger ......

Exactly - The message from the board has not been loud and clear because they are willing to sell, no different from Bates apart from they take longer to buckle as more pockets to line.

Well, interesting to see Varney say he wants McCormack to stay, but also says "its completely up to Ross".

So, are Leeds considering the Boro offer, and have they given Ross the option to go only if he wants? If it is Celtic though, he's off. Scoring lots of goals for them gets him into the Scotland side ... not sure why though.

Actually I thought we would have beaten the Wendies and lost to Leicester and Brighton, so I'm delighted with the start. Although Ross scored the winner on Sat, I thought generaly he hadn't done much up to that. The supporters who were there may disagree because I didn't see his workrate off the ball. The whole team played better 2nd half. Morning all.

Problem if Ross goes in next few days, there will be no time to replace him a la Gradel fiasco, so our season will be effectively banjaxed. Not sure how impressed McD will be with all his summer hard work blowing up in his face like that. If hes going to go, club should do the half decent thing and finalise it today

If Ross Mc goes there will be all hell let loose from the supporters, the board have to do the decent thing and close the issue one way or another, then the Manager can get on with his job.

Morning all. Can't see Ross going to 'Boro somehow. Why would he? Crap crowd, crap team not going anywhere. But with a £4m offer, I could imagine he'd go to Celtic for the reasons given above. That said, Hooper has returned south having had enough of winning a nothing league. So maybe Ross wouldn't go north, especially as he's making the Scotland squad whilst playing for Leeds.

My team for tonight would be the bench from Saturday plus Brown and a couple of others. Ross & co. could then be on the bench if required. I know its at their place and there's local rivalry, but this is a game we really should win comfortably, especially as those that play might have a point to prove to show BMD that they should be starting league matches rather than thos that currently are.

This may end in tears again for the fans, as there's no smoke without fire. Why would Boro come back with a 4th bid unless they thought they had a chance. Why would varney hope that Ross stays? It's looking like Boro have spoken to Ross's agent and he likes the wages, It also looks like the club have heard he's aware of the wages on offer and are trying to get him a new deal to stay. Player power is crap, but if he goes I hope BMD has someone lined up immediatley to take his place.

I spoke to a mate yesterday who's a season ticket holder at Boro, and he reckons the chances of Ross being a Boro player by the weekend are good. He's aware that they have been rebuffed so far, but says boro never chase anyone like this unless they think its a done deal/cert?

The whole Ross thing has been poorly handled from a pr point of view. No need to sell as he has two years left. Might as well get two years out of him and let him run down contract than take a miserly 2m now and take a punt on finding a replacement as good. Plus the knock on effects his sale will have on the fans and I suspect his manager and team mates. GFH, you will prove your worth this week or otherwise, dont blow this one

Eire agreed mate <grr>

Wouldn't it be great to say to the fans, we no longer sell our best players and replace them with lesser players. We are not a selling club anymore. We don't need to sell to make a profit anymore. How can we develop our team to enable us to get promotion if all we do is sell the better players.

Its not hard GFH, please do what you say your'e going to do .....

Dont agree there will not be time to replace Ross (not that i want him to go by the way). McD is no fool he has targets lined up ready if any of our players leave for sure.

I don't think Ross is going.
And according to YEP, Ross is our new manager<yikes> Don't know when that happend<yikes>

"McCormack says his quest to bring in a new winger – his priority before Monday’s closure of the transfer window – hasn’t progressed, as yet and while not expecting too much to happen transfer-wise between now and September 2, he acknowledges that there is enough time for things to still change.”

Here is the whole article.

Morning,

I would hope two from Simon Lenighan, Zac Thompson or Chris Dawson would start and I hope Byram gets a run out in the second half. What's the point watching Pugh, Norris and Brown play together? Just one of them in with the young players is the way forward.

So what if they lose! I am not very interested in either cup until promotion secured, cup runs have distracted us too often in recent years.
