Is this the alternative you see? The alternative to having the club's name changed by AA?

    ....and this proves.....what?

Those two are considered the daftest pair on the site and are almost always against what everyone else on there is in favour of.

Rich thinks we should have more police, that bubbling is a good thing, that piss-taking chants should lead to banning orders etc. In short, he's a complete tart.

Surely the very action of registering on this site suggests the people on here are more "active" in their support of their team than those who simply look out for the score on Saturday TV. As the Hull board is one of the more active on the site this would suggest that those on here (whether for or against the name change) are more pro-active in support of their team.

So far we have the following faction groups...

    1) "AFC till I die"
    2) "It's Hull City"
    3) "Hull City Tigers"
    4) "Hull Tigers"
    5) "Melton Melons"
    6) "I Don't Give A ****"
    7) "Can't We All Just Get On and stop making ourselves a laughing stock?"

    Did I miss anyone?

You must be a simpleton, any alternative view may coincide with your view but look for an alternative outcome!

Not too hard for you ,is it ?

FFS, Dogsbody - you appeared to put it forward as THE alternative! <laugh>

And now you start wittering on about many alternatives. Of course there are numerous alternatives, but what makes yours special?

Exactly. From what I have read he can change the name for the 2013-2014 anyway, as long as he informs the Football League!!!

I,m "wittering on" re. people who won't let other people have a different view.
Because we don't all want to force our opinions on others doesn't mean we don't SYMPATHISE with their views.

Expecting abuse, name calling etc. now from the usual suspects !

In theory AA can change the name for the 2014-15 season. In theory because, as I understand the FA, he has to consult with supporters first.

What form will that 'consultation' take?

Erm....this is a forum for differing views.

I just don't understand how the 'don't cares' and the (minority?) 'fors' can claim that a MAJORITY is for Assem Allam's petty spat and spite of a name change.

It's a message board, we debate stuff and on a topic as important as this, it's no wonder feelings run high.

We get abuse on threads about whether or not Fryatt is good enough for the Premier League, we're obviously going to get it on threads about something as fundemtal as a change to the name of the club.

I have nailed my colours firmly to the mast, but even I can understand those who think Adsem has invested so much he should be able to do what he likes, it's those who still can't even see what's happening that I find most frustrating.

We are Hull City, we have a great team, we are in the Premier League, we should be celebrating that, not have it overshadowed by our slightly odd chairman telling everyone that 'City is irrelevant'(however grateful we are).

The wording on the previous poll was specifically aimed to not be biased or to lead people to vote in one direction. Yours is aimed to do the exact opposite.

This poll is pathetic as it only offers one reasonable answer, but ironically that answer also includes the words "Hull City" which appear in both "Hull City Tigers" and "Hull City AFC".

And as I pointed out earlier, does not refer to the "AFC" bit which would therefore also be a name change.

I've already covered that, a vote for Hull City Tigers is a vote for Hull Tigers, as one will follow the other, it's our owners stated aim.

This is vote about what we are known as to other people, we were never referred to as Hull City AFC by anyone, so it's a complete irrelevance.

For me it is quite simple. Allam says it will open doors business wise and bring in more money if we are eventually called Hull Tigers. If it really was as simple as that then other teams would have done it before. He doesn't get football and therefore fails to see that the only way to bring in foreign investment and be well known all over the world is to stay in the Premier League and be successful. A name change is a mixture of him not knowing the "business" of football and just wanting his own way as he owns the club. If he changes the name and then we go down to Championship again what then, we look even sillier.
