I don't understand how he can be so bad with his latent pedigree.

I also don't understand how Beckham wasn't given a look in.

All our boys are at the end of a long season and shattered. He's half way through his and still sprightly as anything.

Jack Charlton achieved QF of the WC with a squad of nobodys, basically.

£6 mill a year is a sad joke.

And no, I don't have any great answer but I would guess that 'Arry would do a far better job. Without a doubt,

No matter the manager, it's always the same faces. why not take a year out and play the young lads coming through? surely ferdinand, lampard, terry, etc have had their chances and not taken it. Why not give jagielka, Cahill, etc their run in the team. FFS the old guard have had their chance, time to give the next generation their chances. Can't do any worse than these ****ers, cos they've been in the squad for so long they look jaded and don't look anything special. Also **** off the italian and drop someone in there to whom the job means something, not just a massive paycheck (pearce???) a massive overhaul is needed but can't see it happening.

It's not his fault, it's the heat, no wonder we were **** at the world cup. What a twat...

FABIO CAPELLO rolled out the same tired excuses as England failed to beat Switzerland.
The Three Lions boss blamed burnout in his star players — and even claimed the HEAT was a reason for the drab 2-2 draw.

Tranquillo Barnetta's double was cancelled out by Frank Lampard and Ashley Young but England could not find a winner.

When asked what was missing from the performance, the Italian said: "In this period, always the energy.

"You can see the Switzerland players were fresher. They have had a different season.

"In the second half we played not so bad, a good reaction. We had three clear chances to score goals

I simply don't care about England any more. I support Sunderland, not a bunch of overpaid tossers from rival clubs. England is for people who don't support a prem team.

England meant a lot more to me when we were in the champ & it wasn't full of players from rival teams. Seeing Bent ruin it was especially galling. I've just had too much disappointment with England to particularly care.

Trappatoni is doing something similar with Ireland who are largely a squad of nobodies who won again last night and have a fantastic record under him. Maybe its not the manager. The England players need to have a long hard look at themselves. Most of the Ireland players had the same season as the England players, they did not look tired last night. Given had painkilling injections to keep him going for the game. A lot is about team spirit and there are too many ego heads in the England camp. Wilshire looked good though.

    I think it is, Quinner.

Just looking at Capello and Trappatoni, which of them would give you more confidence that they would get the best out of a set of players?

Capello (I would bet £50) is not an inspiring man manager. TBH I think the same about Sven.

SAF would be one heck of a national team manager. Who knows? He may "retire" into that job in a couple of years seeing as Arry will find it difficult to manage any team apart from Pentonville 1st 11. <laugh>
