Would you prefer us to be known as Hull City, or Hull City Tigers/Hull Tigers, that's the vote, it's not ****ing complicated.
You did indeed, which makes me wonder why you've spent the past few days trying to take the piss out of those who tried to make sure that's what we are called.
As I have said countless times... I am not for Hull City Tigers...very few people are. We are HULL CITY... We are THE TIGERS. I'm not however suddenly going to get precious about 3 letters that none of the fans ever referred to before this. And frankly, if I'm prepared to buy a shirt that has Cash Converters on the front, then I'm hardly going to worry if the badge says "Hull City Tigers" rather than "Hull City - The Tigers"
What the **** is this nonsense about three letters? The march yesterday was to protest about Hull City becoming Hul City Tigers or Hull Tigers. If you support that, why the **** do you keep childishly trying to take the piss?
Biased poll question that means the result is meaningless. And for the record I would much prefer to remain being called Hull City. But I cannot bring myself to disrespect the wishes of the man that spunked £60m of his own money to save our club. And No I don't think that gives him carte blanche to do whatever he wants no matter how ridiculous, which adding the nickname we have always had to our official name certainly is not.
diifficult, but red is at least fox-related colour while there are colours more related to bluebirds than, say, red.
Very well said. I've supported Hull City for the past 65 years and I've always known them as Hull City, and that's who they'll always be in my mind. But I've also called them "The Tigers" since the first day I watched them in 1948. If Mr.Allam, who saved us from financial disaster by putting over 60 million into the Club, and brought in Steve Bruce, who may be the best Manager we've ever had and who was a major factor in getting us back into the Prem against very long odds, wants to rename them as the Hull City Tigers I have absolutely no problem with that.
Look, no disrespect to Americans but it does sound naff I hated it when they changed Hull FC to sharks and I also think there is a colour change pending as I recently bought a magnet sticker from the shop which I proudly displayed on the back of my motorhome and within two days it mysteriously changed from gorgeous Amber to Watford Yellow. That's going back when I get back from France probably made in the Far East where he is hoping to attract a larger "fan base" I ask you a yellow tiger what next.
In common parlance(your words not mine) we are referred to as "City" tor "the Tigers" by the vast majority of older fans ! Seriously, I can't see THAT changing. Once a Tigert, always a Tiger
I'm sorry OLM but your question seems just a little misleading to me. I do want the club to continue to be called Hull City - and you're right, the AFC does kind of go without saying which begs the question, do we need those three letters? The thing that's unfair about your question is that you've lumped Hull City Tigers in with Hull Tigers as if they are the same thing. I don't particularly like either but have to be honest and say that I think I could live with Hull City Tigers but find the name Hull Tigers quite detestable. The truth is that for most of us, when talking to each other, we refer to "City" or "The Tigers". When talking to others (outsiders), we refer to "Hull City" or "The Tigers". The bottom line therefore -for me - is that maintaining the word "City" is the issue of paramount importance.
