    A loose question intentionally.
I personally think that if, after 8-10 games we have no win... And Pards is in situ then I can see fans starting to stay away.
By 20 games and no win I could see gates fall below 40,000.
We will retain a strong core support though (I for one will still be there) but I think a canny few will make a short term protest vote with their feet.

I don't think they will, we've been through worse in recent times and nobody stopped going. The majority have turned on the manager and board already, but not going is a different ball game.

People feel like talking with their feet but it's a different issue when Saturday comes.

It's something that's in the blood. A way of life.

First comes booing, then more booing. The majority of fans have already turned, the vast majority will follow shortly as we are not equipped to deal with both Morecambe and Fulham. I do expect a change soon. I don't know if it will be a positive one or not.

What would people's outlook be if we bought 2 or 3 players and were managed by Poyet?

Good players in the most required positions?

An initial rush of joy and relief giving way to cautious optimism.

From what I can tell the management lost the supporter's a while ago, jfk never earned the support to begin with and the owner lost the support half a decade ago.

I cannot stand Pardew - He lost me last season after the Sunderland game. He was responsible for preparing the players for that miserable showing. Point proven a week later when we were even worse. I think if we lose at Morecambe then that would be it for the majority.

Mike Ashley - I cannot fathom how there are still people who support him. The man is destroying the club.

Joe Kinnear - Haven't spoken to one person who actually likes him.

20 games without a win? Christ I expect there would be some kind of civil revolt!

If Kinnear is made manager I think you will see fans revolt.
Yesterday at game the lads and lasses I sit beside were very subdued and most not expecting much this season with Pardew in charge.

I think the fans all around the ground were subdued, the ones that aren't ST holders may not be going back too soon.

I wanted to get up and shout Pardew out - but no doubt some of the drones would have shouted me down.

All are ST holders and there are a few like me who have been following Utd for years and they are thinking of giving their ST in after this season.
NUFC and some fans can dress it up how they like but most fans are not happy and we are only two games in to the campaign.

Some people sitting near me weren't ST holders and the said they wouldn't be going back.

I've been a ST holder for quite a few years and I've been going to all the away games too. I think I'll be cutting them out.

What beggars belief is that there are still some defending Pardew and Ashley. They're like 'support the team - not the regime'. I'm sorry but I am fed up. We are a dreadful side. The players have no passion. The manager is tactically inept and making more and more excuses with each passing week. The owner has no interest.

I was at City and got a ticket for Morecambe. I'm not going now. Won't be going to anymore away games either.

will be interesting to see how many change their mind and get optimistic if we make one or two decent signings in the next week, can't see it myself but this is Newcastle anything can happen!
