It has all gone very quiet, no rumours no newspaper talk, does it mean we are doing our business in quiet or is that it for new players.
Was just thinking the same, we've gone from being linked with everyone to almost total silence. Still I do thin 2 or 3 more will arrive before the window shuts. I'm certain Arry will try and get Crouch.
If anyone (everyone) saw MOTD last night then their brief review of the Sunday sports pages show what sort of crap the journalists make up. One paper says Chelsea lost interest in Rooney, the next saying that Chelsea will make an increased offer. On that basis, no news in good news!
I don't think we are done yet either but really happy to have business off the radar. What happened to the Brazilian striker (or was it Columbian?).
I think he went to Napoli. We never stood a chance against the Champions of Italy who still had fresh Cavani money
He was in Duran Duran. Speaking of strikers that are out of favour and who need to be playing.... anyone think its worth having a cheeky punt on Adebayor?
I thought rangers would try and avoid players like him, plus his wages would be a problem, he will end up in russia
No ............in fact, the opposite. It means that we won't sign anyone for at least three weeks. Two weeks of 'we've got him' in the paper, Harry to spend the following week confirming that the player is heading our way only to be either gazumped at the end or with the best of British luck, no one wants the poor sod and were lumbered with him. After that, we get out the 'welcome mat' and sing his praises, crying we've just signed another champion! Ahhhhhhhhhh, you wouldn't be dead for quids, would you?
I'm certain that this time next week Harry will be like a whirling dervish wheeling and dealing at least two or three more signings and possibly one or two loans as well...
I agree, once the premiership clubs have done there business I think weâll be able to get one or two players in on loan deals
