Forest, looking to maintain their 100% record, have taken an early lead

I'm watching this game on Bet365 in tandem with F1 in Belgium. Great layoff by Mackie for that goal - hopefully Austin will soon start banging them in like that for us. Forest are definitely going to be up there in the mix for promotion this season.

I'm sure both will be in the mix at the end of the season, a draw would be a good result for us today...

if this is your major opposition and promotion contenders, you have nothing to worry here, two quite average teams

Couple of handy looking teams these, here are some streams:

I'm glad we haven't played any of the "big boys" yet (wigan/reading/forest/Watford). Fortunately these fixtures start after the transfer window closes, when we'll have a stronger/more gelled team.

Ref in this game has a totally different attitude to handing out yellow cards compared to ours yesterday.

Looking at the team sheets, Forest appear as "homegrown" as English league sides get these days, compared to Watford's Udinese 2nd string.

Interesting that since we have shed most our imports, the starting line-up yesterday was totally homegrown.

    Queens Park Rangers

    01 Green
    02 Simpson (Booked)
    05 Dunne (Booked)
    06 Hill
    15 Onuoha (Booked)
    11 Wright-Phillips (Traore - 77' )
    17 Barton (Booked)
    20 Henry (Booked)
    36 O'Neil
    08 Johnson (Jenas - 84' )
    09 Austin (Booked) (Zamora - 71' )

Roy Hodgson critical of Premier League's foreign bias

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/22183372

England manager Roy Hodgson tells a TV channel the number of foreign players in the Premier League is a disadvantage to his England side.

"We have one of the lowest number of homegrown players to choose from in all the leagues," he told Sky Sports.

"If you are national team manager, (that) is not a great advantage."

But Hodgson also claimed that having foreign players in the league can help British footballers develop.

Hodgson, whose England side are having a far from easy ride in their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign, has talked about a lack of homegrown talent in the past.

"Quite a few of the games I go to do not have any English players," he added.

"So, one has to be very careful these days when talking about the Premier League and talking about the Englishness of it, because more than two thirds of the players in the league are not English."

Watford the best football team in this league by a mile, much bigger threat than Forest, who will have lengthy bad patches. Watford's challenge will be resilience in this stupidly long season.

Gotta agree with FT. Two very average sides and if these are two 'contenders', we should walk this league.

    Ishmael Miller anyone ??

Do you think that supporters of these teams look at us and think we are much better than average?

We'd be lucky to get a draw against those two with the squad we fielded yesterday. A fit hoillet and Phillips would help a lot, but we still need to improve, and still need a player or two. I'm absolutely confident we'll get there, but I don't think we're ready for the challenges of the "top" teams just yet.

They're fantastic in attack, but still look really flaky to me. Their defence is pretty much mid table standard, we'll get a couple of goals when we play them.

I would like to think we are better than that TBH Roller. We did what was needed yesterday and ground out a good result. I think Watford are a nice footballing side but a bit too 'fancy' to win this league (If you get what I mean).

The proof will be in the pudding and I hope I'm right and will be telling you say as we share a bottle of bubbly come May :)

That's the thing though Grifter, the team we had yesterday isn't the finished article. Hoilett fit (if he stays) and Phillips will be a great improvement, a couple more astute signings and we are almost there (IMO).

I stand by my statement we WILL win this League.
