Hey, so it looks like ja606 got a DDOS attack and is down for who knows how long - apparently that was where most EFC supporters were headed, but in its wake this site seems to have the most traffic.

Anyway, I've been following Everton for a little bit from the States, and was wondering a couple things about the offseason.

How long is the transfer window?
How many preseason games do they play / are they already scheduled?
Does it look like Everton is in pretty good shape as far as preparing for next season (in your opinions)?
Any chance Moyes might look at Donovan again? He seemed to provide a good threat down the right side when he was loaned.

Glad to hear Baines played well v. the Swiss, I hope we hold on to him.
Also hope nothing gets past Tim Howard this afternoon v. Spain.

Baines did indeed do a great job for England. I fear that he may be sacrificed in the Summer transfer window though.

I think the transfer window is open now, up to 31st August.

    Pre-season gumf is here http://www.evertonfc.com/news/on-tour-with-the-toffees.html

Bury (July 15), Philadelphia Union (July 20) and DC United (July 23). A home match against Villreal has also just been announced for 5th August.

Everton in good shape for next season? We're always in good shape for the next season, but as we know, we'll start the season really sh1ttly (is that a word).

Wasn't Donovan ruled out cos we couldn't afford the wages? Would love to have him back but we aint got the money.

    Arsenal fan in peace here.
I'd love us to sign Baines as I think he's a model pro, reliable and truly underrated. How much do you think you guys would accept?

    Burgerbuns,

I started getting into the Premier League about 3-4 years ago, and given the fact that sports are more fun to watch when you have a favored team (or money riding on it, but that's another question), I decided to start backing Everton, because I liked their style, I liked Howard, and I didn't want to do the boring easy American thing and be a frontrunner Man U fan. More or less it was an arbitrary decision, essentially, so judge away if that's your thing, but I feel that most people would have moved on by now given Everton's ability to get your hopes up and then disappoint.

All the teams and Everton picked you, how lucky for you. I think Landon was a transfer fee issue. Plus who would move from LA to the UK?
