Yeah there are still things I'm not too happy about, but still, time will tell. I was disappointed Pennant didn't start, but we are pretty low on wingers, Shea injured, and Kightly and Shotton haven't even been on the bench since the friendlies, so maybe Hughes thinks they're not good enough. During the game, some of the passing looked nice, but overall I don't think there was that long that we were "on top" for, the first 10 minutes were good, and about 10 minutes again around when we scored. Other than that Crouch looked isolated for long periods, and we sat back too much at the end, I suppose you could say we were lucky to get all 3 points, all the stats were even apart from the main one (possesion 50/50, 14 shots, 5 on target) Anyway, more than happy with the win, hopefully that'll inspire some confidence and we'll see more of the positives going forward.
Oh well, I can see/take plenty of positives from today's game lads. Last season, we might have drawn after going a goal down but IMHO once we had got level we would have sat back. Today we didn't and credit to MH whatever he said at HT worked. Also agree that, Pennant should have started and Adam should have stayed on. My MOTM by a long way. Can we play better. YOU bet your sweet *** we can. Happy with the win but WTF? Walters and apart from a header hitting the bar 1st half were woeful. I'm sure MH will sign a forward, today proved we need at least one (quick) striker. It's nice to play (some football) it wasn't perfect by a long stretch but we WON guys! And things can only get better.. Just saying. Oh and Mark Hughes's interview was unlike ANY I heard from Clueliss. He was honest and he saw the same game that we did. Did well, but can and will improve. GIVE the GUY a CHANCE for Christ's sake. KTF one and all. P.S. Etherington is past it but he has been for the last couple of season's.

The 2 goals scored didn't come from the strikers. Defender and an attacking midfielder. We really are in trouble up front unless we bring in a couple of pacy and clinical goal scorers! Great to get 3 points today though, i'm a happy chappy
