i know what you are saying , i thought he was very lazy against villa , didnt have a great day today , was a bit invisible for me . But he has proven that he CAN be a great asset to the team . I wont slate him on the back of a few bad or mediocre performances , if we started down that route , we would be chenging the whole team every few months . I say , cut him some slack , he will be fine again soon ...watch this space. Dont forget , some people were beginning to make comments about the pod offering very little .
It's called "constructive criticism". If someone's not doing well enough, they get that at times. Ramsey got that, and he's fixed himself up. It's sad how people blind themselves to these sort of things just because a player plays for their team.
Exactly how I feel. But he really let us down last week. He did well in putting Chamberlain through on goal for the Giroud goal. But he skied 2 easy chances. It was harder to miss really.
His experience and ball retention ability is very useful to have. But he should be coming off the bench for us. As for Podolski, tbf as much as I like him, he does offer very little apart from goals.
One of the things that caught my attention today was an him getting the ball in the cntre circle , acres of space in front of him to run at the defence and he runs about 4 yards and passed it wide ..........jesus , he could have run about 35 yards before passing it . ... lazy last week and a bit lazy today . But all players get like that from time to time , if Wenger replaces him for a few games it might sharpen his focus on what hes doing .
Yeah. That's what irks me about him. Along with his reluctance to shoot on goal. He's got a mean shot on him, yet he refuses to have any pops at goal. Just a shame. He could be doing so much better with his ability.
that'll do for me tommy , If he banged 2 goals in for me every game , i couldnt care less if he does not a jot else.
I think if podolski got a lot more playtime he could be deadly . That left foot is lethal and defences know it. It adds another dimension to the tippy tappy stuff . which is just what we have been missing . someone who can put his laces thru it from 30 yards. Its like defences flapping like fook to try to stop Bale getting it on his left foot . The pod could have the same effect for us given the chance.
This. When everyone is fit, Rosicky isn't in the first-11 anyway. His form right now isn't great, but it's good enough. For a backup, that's what you need. Having said that, when Rosicky is on his best form he can carry the whole team. I don't know why people have such short memories for that.
Not sure where this is coming from Dubbed. Rosicky played well today or well enough at least. Had a lovely first-time chipped ball into Walcott early on in the match, and aside from that he keeps the ball moving fractionally faster than his midfield colleagues.
Honestly this is the dumbest in a long line of dumb as **** threads about our players. Calling this a "criticism" is like calling a pile of vomit, food.
Rosicky was fantastic today , as always , and has always been so , and always will be fantastic , every game ....for ever . Never ever has a bad game , no way . hows that ? Washed white enough ? Let me know if you would like his reputation completely sterilised.
Can't beat constructive debate ay? "You're an idiot." "No, you're an idiot." Brilliant. At least Dubbed makes articulates points. Very few people actually responded to them. In this instance I'd disagree to an extent Dubbed. I haven't seen the last few games as I've been away a lot, but I think Rosicky definitely has a role. In the last couple of seasons he was a real stand-out performer. He might not be the AM the team needs, but he has good vision & a great tackle. I'd actually play him alongside a DM & AM as more of a playmaker, but Ramsey will likely play that role longer term. He's a great option to have on the bench for when games are tight as he can make things happen, or Arsenal are winning as he can retain possession & shore up the midfield. Like I said, this isn't based on games this season, but my opinion of him previously.
While Rosicky was playing we dominated nearly all of the game. As soon as he went off Fulham had their best period of the game with some sustained pressure and got their goal then as well. Rocicky played as a great replacement for Arteta which is effective but not standing out too much as he just got on with the job and deserves credit for that. He seems to work better with Ramsey as well than Wilshere does but as they have more time together I still expect Ramsey and Wilshere to form a Cm partnership for us for years to come.
To be fair, I read nothing that could be construed as 'constructive criticism' when people were slagging off Ramsey and before him Walcott. If people had been offering opinions on how and what these players needed to do, where they could improve and what they needed to change to become better players, then it would have been fair enough, but the majority of it was 'Ramsey is crap' and 'Walcott has no football brain' etc.
Rosicky is one of our best players in my opinion. Before his long lay off he was an integral part of our last serious title challenge (2007/08) His passing, vision, awareness and directness make him a valuable member of our squad.
Rosicky has been one of our best players recently, took him a while to get his form back after his long injury but he is more than a useful squad member
