We know, we were doing last season before recruiting better players. We're not as reliable on HIM as Tottenham are on THEIRS
Nice one Enjoyed that today lads far from perfect but who gives a **** at this stage of the season. Grind them out for now and just try to keep improving week on week.
It's always nice to win 4 or 5 nil but they always say you learn more about your team in a tight 1-0 win so think it's good we've had a couple which allows BR to asses the squad before the end of the window. Makes a nice change us being able to defend a lead rather comfortably (apart from last 5 against Stoke) which is in stark contrast to last couple of years. We've played some decent stuff at times and hopefully with a few more competitive games, the sharpness infront of goal will come back and allow us to finish teams off a bit easier
Ahh fair one then, highlights should be interesting ( about to watch MOTD). Been out ont he fields from 8:30-4 today. Long day, cooked, but the beer is cold and delicious after a successful day and win for: LIV ( clap clap) ERP ( clap clap) Double O L Liverpool FC!!
Made a couple of good runs when he came on but didn't get much chance to shine from LW considering we were under the cosh.
It was only about twenty minutes so who knows, we'll have to wait and see. My guess would be a combination of sharing things up (although he took Aspas off???) and wanting to break Cissokho in gently and not put him in a important defensive role.
Although the second half today was nerve wracking at times it wasn't inevitable that Villa would score and we kept them out, so that gives me confidence that once we get sharper finishing off our moves we'll be very solid. Last season we probably would have conceded one, maybe two. If we can just convert more we would make it so much easier on ourselves. Though all along that Toure was a good move, massively under used by City and perfect for us.
