WEll that's it - a point each. Knightsie needs to work harder on the 2 keepers - definitely 2nd goal was keeper error. Guy needs to get in a defensive coach - we have to stop shutting up shop with only 1 goal difference - we just aren't good enough!
Bleh. At least we didn't lose, and at least I was able to savour seeing Portsmouth just one place below the play-off positions for a short period of time. I knew that wasn't gonna last.
Ahh well, 2 away games and two 2-2 all draws. Unbeaten on our travels, tighten up a bit at the back and we can start converting these draws to 3 points (hopefully).
That was 4th game of the season - 6 more to go and then the team should have gelled. We were playing football on the ground - they were playing route 1 in the air. I hear Simon Ferry has got a crick in his neck Barcham is like a whippet - so quick and gives the opposition so much trouble - they can't handle him. We're going to be fine
Yeah, what's with that? We did the exact same thing against Accrington and look what happened there. We did the same thing about Morecombe, rather than putting them to the sword we basically just pissed about for most of the second half. Weirdly this match seems to be almost an exact repeat of the Accrington game. They score first from a screamer, we score twice with Connolley scoring one to take a 2-1 lead, then they equalise. *sigh*
Must keep Barcham fit, he is a very good player - what on earth is he doing down in Division 2 ? Shame we couldn't hold on for a win, but apparently they have now won 23, and drawn 2 of their last 25 matches at home. That is some record.
Unlike you Stewie I don't think our defence is ok. For the Oxford game they went missing completely - reminded me of the World Cup game against Germany. I think (just a guess) that's why Guy waited so long for Rocha to make up his mind - we don't have a very experienced defender who can read the game. We need a defensive coach badly - and Knightsie needs to teach Smith and Sullivan how to command their areas - a bit of shouting might help. Where I do wholeheartedly agree with you though is Stephen Henderson and Jamo. I also miss Greg Halford.
I'm sure I read somewhere that Nottm. Forest manager - Billy Davies - is playing Greg Halford as a striker at present !
Correct, he got an assist in his first game. But then I saw the ball go in the Milton End from one of his throw ins - it wasn't allowed, but it did look as though it got a deflection before going in the net. I also saw Henderson get an assist, but can't remember who the ball dropped to (but I will remember)
