I think it's about having an option from the bench. Optimistic thinking here, but Gouff from the bench can switch us to 4-3-3 if things aint going great, or swap for Shola if - as expected - he trundles around doing nowt. Shola's also on to protect from corners probably for around 60 mins or more.

Dummett behind Santon would have worked better for me. I don't think Marv's a winger, he's a left inside-forward or number 10 type of player. So that's a mistake. Particularly as West Ham will go at the wings, they're a get it wide/cross it team. With Benny and Marv we're lightweight and short of defensive cover.

Christ on a bike. Substitutes: Rob Elliot, Paul Dummett, Dan Gosling, Gael Bigirimana, Haris Vuckic, Sammy Ameobi, Yoan Gouffran.

So we either win with the eleven who start, or.....what, exactly? Bring on super Dan? Scare them with the gangly uselessness of Sammeobi? THREE of our bench have been linked with moves away, albeit two on loan.

I'm beginning to wonder how many we really need. And where is Tiote?

Well Pardew's certainly going for broke today. Two attacking full-backs and two wingers who aren't going to track back all the time. Death or glory I suspect.

    Cabaye can **** right off.

tiotes injured in think. Probably the best line up we could field. If it doesn't scream out new players are needed I don't know what does

If (big if) we replaced them both with young, quality midfielders like Will Hughes i wouldn't be upset to let them both go. Cabaye has proven to go missing for large parts of last season and as much as I love Tiote, he's become too much of a liability. I'd be happy with Sissoko and Anita in the middle for the rest of the season.

More like Tiote sold for £15m, Flamini in. Price is right.

    Bench is shocking.

He's impressing me a bit today which is rare from our lot lately.

Mathieu Debuchy and David Santon are frightening, both attacking skills are mild and inconsistent and defensively they are both terrible.

    Jarvis is killing Debuchy.

    Sissoko is the standout today.
