Hey, Saints fan here. We have a young lad from your academy playing for our U18s tomorrow, Harley Willard, the club just announced we signed him. Anyone know much about him? Would be good to hear from anyone who knows anything. Cheers.
He was pretty highly rated. Know he's now at southampton but was strongly linked with utd. Scottish u16 who is a midfielder. Only reason I can think of is bcse we have some very good u16s (chris willock and charlie gilmour (charlie also being,Scottish)) probably being the pick but think you've got a good prospect with willard.
Never seen any of them play btw (though willock videos are on YouTube). If you're on twitter you can ask jeorgebird or afcacademy who have probably seen him play.
Cheers, good to know. Our academy is kinda quality not quantity so we've a fairly young U18 team (we have a couple of U15s in the squad for tomorrow!) he'll probably play a lot this year if he's worth his chops.
Yeah you've got a great academy no doubt. Actually saw the liverpool highlight vs soton and was impressed with Sinclair who is a winger I think. Only highlights though.
He's looking good but Omar Rowe and Matt Targett are really ones to watch for making the first team this season. We have a couple of very promising lads in the U21s and we're really positive that there'll be 3 or 4 of them making the first team this year.
Pretty much the same with us this year...though we could do with bit more quantity! 3 of our u21 defenders vs stoke played u16 last season.
