I'd tell them to go out and play. I'm not convinced our lot are actually footballers, so any attempt by West Ham to play the game will result in a sure 3 points. Fortunately they have Fat Sam in charge.

I'd tell them to get really physical because we look a little featherweight. I'd tell them to give Jarvis/Downing the ball and test Debuchy out who looks a rank average.

With us I'd tell the feckers to man up and grow a pair!

Should be one of the easiest team talks Pardew ever does.

Start with the negatives and remind them that another inept display like the one on Monday night wont be acceptable, which they already know.
This is a chance to put things right.

That out the way, just tell them to go out and play with some heart and commitment and remember where they are playing.
Show that they are good professionals, play for each other and not on your own and that they are more than good enough to beat West Ham.
Don't let your heads go down at any cost.

A little one on one man management with Debuchy reminding him why we bought him and similarly with Mbiwa - his big chance, and others like Dummett if he plays and also Cisse, stop sulking and show what your made of.

    Simple and we win 2 - 1.

I know its got f*** all to do with West Ham team talk, but this should be Pardews.

That's all good for motivation, but I worry that this is about as technical as Pardew gets as well - since the 3:2 against Chelsea last season, I've not really seen us use 'tactics'. Even in wins last season, it just seemed our players ran around and hoped something would come of it. I know you can over coach players, but if someone asked you what Newcastle's playing style/philosophy is - counter attacking? possession based? direct? I genuinely wouldn't know? Is ****e an option?

TBH if the players need a team talk to a) motivate them, or b) tell them what they need to do better, then they truly are the stupidest and most pointless human beings on the planet. They're grown men, who do this job for a living (and a ****ing good one at that), they should be able to work out pretty easily what they need to do better

Wonders never cease. Pards is worse than Sam, and lawro has just gone way up in my estimation. "I think Sunderland will get relegated this season, and the manager will gone by Christmas" <laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh> Put me in a great mood for the game. See ya all later, 3 points in the bag hopefully

I think there comes a point where a player just thinks "we're sh!t, but no matter what happens, I'll still be paid £40k this week. The tosspot boss, however...." That's where I think we are. I wait to be proven wrong, how I'd love to see 4-0 today so we can really kick on, but as I've said elsewhere it's extremely rare for managers to dig themselves out of this - players don't care enough any more, and if you've lost their belief/support, you're finished because you're the one carrying the can.

Allardyce isn't as bad a manager as you lot make out. You wouldn't have been relegated if you didn't get rid.

Oh but we would. We were on the most alarming slide I've ever seen in all my time going to games. Not only that but it was the worst football I've seen anywhere. I include Sunday mornings. People think our current lot is bad, the football and tactics are 3 trillion times better than watching 60 yard bombs aimed at Owens and Martins. Frightening.

It might not have been pretty, but Allardyces teams are effective. I stand by it, you wouldn't have been relegated.
