Erm no, no you didn't. You're still blaming me for your lack of reading comprehension.

On the bright side, at least I don't need to do a pointless cherry picking multiquote of your stuff, each one of yours, generally, shows what a bellend you are.

If the badge thing, which is only changing after consultation, is your strongest card, you really are a ****wit.

Is there a conspiracy to change the badge behind our backs and totally rebrand the football team? No. Is the name of the team changing? No.

Not sure how I was wrong about either of those.

I realise people like you need to vent your anger and nerdrage some place, so honestly, keep it coming, you make me laugh and I know you need this cyber attention, so I'm happy to provide that too. I just wish you'd direct your efforts to somewhere worthwhile like Syria, or Egypt, or if you prefer closer to home how about the problems of homelessness, inequality or the idiots on HCC? If you still prefer to argue about nothing online, it's ok, I'm here for you.

Why do you keep banging on about the badge changing after consultation?

Our owner doesn't want City in our name, or did you miss him saying "Hull City is irrelevant. My dislike for the word 'City' is because it is common. City is also associated with Leicester, Bristol, Manchester and many other clubs."?

Now, the Allams have confirmed they have made a conscious decision to drop "AFC" – first used when the club was established in 1904 – from all club branding going forward. Instead, they will refer to and market the club as "Hull City Tigers" locally, and "Hull Tigers" nationally and internationally.

I'm at a loss as to why anyone would find this acceptable.

All you're gonna get is an angry post about how stupid you are and only HC understands our various names.

I'm happy to agree Dr Allam's a bit mad, and of course he said that, I still think there's other factors/influences at work around him and we'll, as we are at the moment, stay with Hull City. It's no secret I'm not bothered about the AFC bit. I'm more than happy with Hull City Tigers, I'll still be calling us the same as I always have. I trust the people who own and manage our club. I know, and appreciate your stance on the name change, I just don't agree with it.

I missed you when you were away overdosing on mossie repellant, at least you can string a sensible argument and mostly join in a discussion rationally. Any awesome side effects from the mossie stuff like better vision, ability to fly or stick to walls?

Unfortunately, I've not acquired any mosquito based superpowers, in fact, I've had stomach ache for over a week now and I'm a little concerned I've done some permanent damage.

I got a lot of sympathy from my fellow holidaymakers, somewhere in Loule there's a room full of people still laughing.

I bet you get as much sympathy for stuff like that from the missus as I do from mine too...have you had any more bites though? Oh and yeah, seriously, even if you only check with your local docs, I'd get that looked at...

It said if you get it your eyes, you should seek immediate medical attention, but it didn't mention anything about drinking half a bottle, so it's probably fine...

Someone else is getting it right:

    MATCH PREVIEW

It's a big day for the City of Hull and for Hull City (I don't think you'll find me adding the Tigers bit to their official name, whatever the owner wants).

Ironically, the furore over the name has resulted in more people stressing the "AFC" than ever did previously. It was always one of "City", "Hull City", or "The Tigers" depending on the context. Sometimes just "Hull" if there was no possibility of confusion with the RL team. The law of unintended consequences strikes again. <whistle>

I can live with 'City', 'Hull City' and 'The Tigers', obviously, as there is no change there. We are still Hull City AFC, even if most folks drop the 'AFC' in everyday life.

What I and many, many others cannot countenance, is the adoption of 'Hull City Tigers' or 'Hull Tigers'.

I happen to agree with you, but as you say, most of us very rarely used the "AFC" part of the name - and that includes the club most of the time. If they had simply stopped using it on publicity, programmes etc, most of us wouldn't have noticed. By making a big thing of it, and in a fairly dismissive way, Dr Allam has drawn attention to the change and led quite a few fans to start using it to show their feelings on the matter. Your own name and signature are among a number I have noticed.

Exactly. I'm only using it in my name in order to point out that that is the true name of the club. Hull Tigers/Hull City Tigers are just aberrations, reflecting as they do AA's spat with the Hull City Council. And hence his determination to spite them, by removing the word 'City' from the club's name.
